I bought a pack of 2 white strawberries from them earlier this year and they were dead as a dodo I decided after 4 weeks. Called them and they refunded me immediately.

Hmmm i think 8 weeks later might be too late to get a refund :( oh well! Guess I should pull them out and use the pots for something else...

Went to B&Q and got some more pots & compost today. Ready to plant more salad at the weekend :D

I've been so bad at visiting this thread of late im sorry.

My plants mostly seem to be alive and growing - however.... they dont seem to be as big as i expected? All 6 of my strawberry plants look healthy and bushy but no sign of berrys yet?

Tomato plants dont seem as big a my FIL's either :(

That said, I am pleased as this is my first ever attempt at growing and we seem to have a lot alive and kicking - just hoping it all starts to show signs of fruit and veg soon :o

Loving looking at all your photos! It's giving me hope for my own veggies :D

Potatoes, are they supposed to be so bushy?!

Unhappy looking iceberg... I'm wondering if I should just bin it.

Chillies, they're about the only plants that look fairly happy :rotfl:
Potatoes are supposed to look like that :D

Never chuck lettuces, they always bounce back and yours are at a nice stage of growing, they would do better in the ground though now.

Your chillies look amazing! Quite simply amazing. ;) You should be very proud of them.

Update from the wilderness that is my garden:

Toms outside are doing well - a couple have little flowers! The rest will be planted out today because I am absolutely fed up of having plants on the windowsills.

Quince tree has had flowers which have now gone, some I'm hoping for some fruit. I have no idea whether they need a mummy/daddy tree to help pollinate - any ideas??

Courgettes are looking very very sorry for themselves. I've lost 2 of the 4 already. Greenfingered brother-in-law is coming over today so I hope he can work his magic.

I'm pretty sure my pepper plant is dying after 3 years, but there are 5 little peppers on it so I'm hoping it will hold out a bit longer.

Bonus freecycle aubergine plant will be planted out today too.

I have no salad growing whatsoever in the poly tunnel. None. Oh well.

Strawbs are doing very well indeed - lots and lots of flowers so I should get a bumper crop of fruit.

And....I am very very sorry to say....I now have 3 potato plants growing. Disappointed doesn't even come close.

All being well, photos will follow at some point if the rain holds off!

Aw thanks, I was nervous putting up my pics thinking it was probably all wrong :rotfl:

Unfortunately we're just renting the house so can't go digging up the garden :(

    The tomatoes I demolished :o

Those toms need something a bit deeper than that tub. I'd be tempted to plant them in the ground if you can, as deep as poss. They'd soon put out extra roots along the stem and would support the plants much better, or at least a deep tub. Everything else looks fine, great looking tatties and peppers.

edit: just read you're renting.......they wouldn't notice 3 little holes with toms in them, when theyre finished scatter some grass seed over the area ;)

Send them an email, got to be worth try, I don't think 8 weeks is too late to say something.

Either that or buy a couple of growbags. Much easier. :D

You could wind string around the growbag then pin it to the fence (no-one will notice a few wee holes) and the toms could use the string as support to grow up.

I agree with annie, Drea...don't think there's enough space (or earth) in there for them and you should move them on. :)

Btw, add me to the 'jealousy' list for the chillis. What the heck have you done to get them looking so big and healthy? Mine look puny in comparison. :o I do have a very big and very fetching marigold though. :p:D
