I think these were taken probably around sept last year but i could be wrong.
I have spent 4 1/2 hrs today moving all the rubbish that previous owner left. he was a right hoarder.
I should have really cleared it all before now, but like I said yesterday, I'm ready to pull my finger out and do it properly.
The local tip will only accept very small quantities of asbestos, so next weekend I have to wrap 5 or more corrugated asbestos panels that were hiding at the back and take them to a different tip that has a better facility.
I now have a very clear and tidy shed, but I found that it really is beyond repair or salvage. the floor has rotted through and the rest isn't much better. I'd best start collecting pallets to make a new one!
pentland javelin, swift and maris piper now chitting on front room windowsill. I have 3 overwintered chilli plants (1 may not have survived, will give it a bit longer before i bin it though), scotch bonnet, jalapeno and numex, which looks very much like your pips, ripens from purple to red. I also found a few chilli seeds in a tin in the shed that I shall sow tomorrow after work, not sure what varieties.freecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0 -
Oh wow, that looks good. Lots of growing room. So, what're weeds and what's good stuff? Do you have any established plants (e.g. fruit bushes?)If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

there was a good mix of weeds and good stuff when this was taken. In the first picture, taken looking backwards, there are gooseberries green and red maybe 8 bushes, just out of shot on the right.
where i'm stood taking the pics there's an apple, pear and damson.
picture taken looking forwards. on the right of the plot there are raspberries, blackberries, i think loganberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants running along the right hand side as you look at the pic.
I also have an asparagus bed in it's second year in front of the trees and rhubarb that was split last year planted by the shed in the middle of the paving slabs.freecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0 -
the front of the plot is almost completely bare at the moment except for the strawbs at the very front. and i don't want them there any more, they've taken over! lovely bare earth though. very rich and full of worms:D
the back still looks very much as it did, very messy, lots of couch grass, and full of broken glass, rubble, asbestos panels, rotting plastic sheeting, rusty metal, short scaffolding poles. that is the next couple of weekends for me. have cleared a lot of it, done 2 tip trips today, probably 3 more next weekend, or one eve in the week if i can get a babysitter.
then after that i plan to mave the compost pen at the back to the far left and make it smaller but taller with pallets, level the ground and build a pallet shed (possibly 2 pallets wide and deep), knock down and burn the old shed, move all the paving to the back in front of the shed for bbq and patio area. hoping to keep the back for fruit and front for veg.
and even though it takes up space, the swing set is staying:p. when my 2 girls are not climbing trees, rolling in mud or throwing worms at each other, they sometimes play nicely on it:rotfl:freecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0 -

You'll need to get rid of all the pests, for a start!:rotfl:
It sounds like you have everything planned out - I wish I was as well-organised. Would you mind popping round and telling me what I should do with mine? I have trouble just managing to rotate stuff. Mostly because everything I like seems to be a brassica. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
