I like the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc but it is the dearest in the store at £5.49. It's very creamy and fruity (if a wine can be both).somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

I tend to do a split shop. Tescos first for certain things and then down to Aldi for others including the Super 6, their own philly cheese, eggs etc. I'm getting quite savvy at knowing what the prices are in both and getting the best deals.Jan GC £96.95/£120; NSD 26/31
Feb GC £113.19/£120: NSD 24/29
Mar GC £54.22/£150 NSD 10/12

Does anyone know where the frozen chicken is sourced from in Aldi? I’ve looked at the packaging and I can’t tell where. Asda sell it from Thailand. Sainsbury’s say it’s British. I like Aldi and Lidl food, and buy a lot of it, but I would like clearer labelling.0

Thanks. It would be good to know where the frozen chicken comes from. The Asda/Sainsbury's I quoted was for frozen not fresh.0 -
I dont know about other Aldis - but my branch does not STOCK frozen chickens - but, from experience I can say that the Aldi fresh chickens taste far superior to the Asda ones. and you can always bung a fresh chicken in the freezer if you dont want to eat it straightaway!
I usually cook mine within a day or two - then either use it or strip the carcass and freezed the meat and bones separately. The meat will get used in curries or casseroles and the carcass is used for stock.0 -
well i was going to check out my local aldi because i'd heard that they keep the packaging to a minimum so sounds like it's a greener shop too....0
