Mama and Papa Fresian are visiting this weekend and have done their usual trick of bringing me a care package (I'm 31!) so I have now been able to add washing powder, coffee, teabags and beans to my stockpile - and my second purse spreadsheet :j0 -
I was just having a giggle reading the thread-reads abit like the game "broken telephone"... all the posts start with "today I went to the shops and bought..."
So here's mine for the day:
MrA-2L Coke-usual price £1.98, offer 3 for £3 so £1 each.Already opened 1 so purse paid.
10x 250g Clover-cant find a usual price so I marked it at £1.40 as this is what Im currently paying for my usual baking stuff-£1 each
Chocolate buttons-usual price 40p, offer price 3 for £1 or bought 9 packets for 3.00
Total spent from SP=£19.00 for stock valued at £29.480 -
Welcome Rosielady. I didn't know what any of the shop code names were at first either!
I've already ordered my shop via mysupermarket.com for next week as it's half term and I won't have the opportunity to shop in 4 supermarkets like I now have taken to, to get all the bargains :rotfl:. It's thanks to this thread that I knew about this website. Asda was the cheapest for my shop by at least £13.00 :j. Since joining this thread and the Grocery Challenge I have never spent so little on my weekly shopping thanks to all the special offers and ideas. Btw Asda has Lake District cheese on offer for £1.98 for 400g (half price).
I've also noticed today how very easy it is to buy from my shop Stock-a-lot, as when I needed beans and chocolate biscuits, all I had to do was fish them out of my hiding place without going out into the cold weather at all! Another bonus of the 2nd purse system :T.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

I've been to the pub so I can't update a sausage but my OH my am I relieved to be out of that dead-end job. Turns out quite a lot of the people I work with don't like my "manager" much, and knew I hadn't been given any work for ages, months and months in fact.
Anyway, I can order the butter dish afterallThey gave me £55 in rainforest vouchers so I now have £60 worth.
So...that's butter dish as a treat, suma oats and then need to find some other nice things although might not spend it all just yet
Anyone that ordered the yeast, it's just come through for deliveryso should expect that fairly soon xx

Welcome Rosielady - and don't worry about asking loads of questions coz I've been doing this for about 3 weeks and I still haven't got to grips with the second purse. Everyone is so patient with me (thank you, you lovely ladies and maybe gents?:rotfl::rotfl:) so with perseverance we will get there in the end. Also just found out from SueP19 that shoes means b00ts so thanks for that too.:T:T
Can I just ask (sorry if it was in an earlier thread but must have missed it) but where do you get the £15 worth of shoes points from please? When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:
