Thank you kerri_dfw :) everyone on here is so friendly. Yup that's me, stockpiler :rotfl: My husband moans about the amount of loo rolls stuffed round the loo in the bathroom and asked why we needed so much. I just rolled my eyes at him, it's probably the one thing absolutely everyone buys and it's too expensive

There was a discussion on one of the threads (Frugal Living maybe?) about everyone's stockpiles. Our loo roll mountain lives behind the telly. Mr Fresian couldn't believe it when I mentioned someone with over 150 rolls - don't think he thinks I'm that bad now ;)

It is :) I've been collecting a nice stock of Suma as it's fairtrade, vegan, cruelty free. I've already got the 10kg washing powder but that was almost £35  and got loads of the 5ltr left. I've put a watch on camel for if it goes under £15. What price do you think I should buy at? It does smell lovely.

My ME went away, had it for 8 years, its a horrible illness, I wish you better. I still have a poor immune system and catch bugs easily. I had pancreatitis in 2004 and was in a coma for 3 months, wasn't expected to live, but here I am still alive lol.

Good grief Mothership  what a horrible experience for you and your loved ones :(

So pleased you are here to encourage us in our Second Purse endeavours :D

    Conclusion:
Doris paid the SMs £6.50 for 4 tubs of butter
Edna paid the SMs £4 for 4 tubs of butter but now has another £8 in the 2nd purse which can be used towards other bargains. As Doris did not have a second purse she couldn't cash in on the offers as she was having to dip into her grocery budget each week.

Very good explanation kerri_dfw, thank you! :D

I think Edna was in front of me in the queue at Sainsburys the other day :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!!!!!!!!!!

But wouldnt the savings you make by buying in bulk be offset by the fees to the chiropractor to get your back put back together when you try and pick it up???? ;)

#023 jarus :j£0.00/£150.00 under the counter freezer

Hi kerri_dfw Thanks for updating this. Is there another Jarus on this thread. I wasn't aware that I'd actually said what I wanted and have looked back on my posts and can't see it anywhere.

Was this thread originally called something else?- could I have posted this on a different thread when I first joined mse at the beginning of 2010. An under the counter freezer was something that I might have wanted then but not now.

    Sorry to be a pain.

    Thanks

    Jarus xx

  • My 1st Donald Russell meat order just arrived, thanks to Mothership for the free P&P code! :j

I just ordered the minced steak to try and OMG, appart from the fact it looks lovely, it is packaged SO beautifully, I am really very pleased with it!!

You would think they had sent an expensive piece of jewellery, not some mince :D

BUT I think Mothership missed out on some sort of freebie? After I ordered I saw a "recommend a friend" thing, and I think if I had ordered via that, maybe Mothership would have got something? So many apologies for that! :o
