I did need a new bed, I was sleeping on a cr!ppy ik!a one which was literally a mattress on the floor. Although we have now moved house (hence the long absence) and I now have a shelving unit just next to the kitchen and cupboards for the beans, so no more beans in the bed :p

Can you send me a PM if I need to add anything about you to the front page please.

Again apologies for the absence, oh and has anyone seen that L1dl are doing bog roll but for £1 more than they normally do, how rude! I was waiting for that offer, off to mr A I pop for their offer instead!

    Hi Kerry

Its great to see you back, I've not posted much but I have been reading everyones posts, I'm a bit bogged down with a mountain of paperwork and ironing, I've been pretty much living off my stores for the last few months, so my wee purses are bulging. I wont know how much is in them till I tot up. My stores are still pretty healthy, so fan I've not ran out of anything. And my orders from Donald Russell have kept my freezer topped up. I've still 4 orders to come up to mid October, no new ones placed at all.
My youngest DD and DGD have been having their meals with us so DD has been buying a fair bit of my shopping, which has been a great help.

Heloooooo to all our new 2nd Pursers :hello:

And well done all to you for sticking in there xxxx

Hello everyone - CSS (Co$tco Saddo Society) member checking in to report some spends !!!

Had a fine old time this morning. Even managed to get to the store in time for coffee and a piece of danish nommy.

    I got: Luco$ade 500ml bottles for DS1, 48 juice cartons, 2 x Weebix minis, paninis x 8, Egstra gum, $quare crisp$ (£1.47 for 16 bags!!!), a mahoosive 84 wash Bo!d liquid - £51.27 spent :o

JayJay14 your post made me giggle! Enjoy your meal out :D

Scrabbles - I think you're right about it being economical spendwise. Mine is about 15 miles from home and through the Dartford Tunnel/over the Dartford Bridge. So that's £3 toll fee before adding in the petrol. Still makes sense to buy certain items there tho' :D

Hi Kerri and Mothership. Good to see you both

Glad I raised a smile or two.

Our nearest costco is Leeds do about an hour and a quarter away, but Oh works fairly near so he often calls in for things (and eats his tea there :D) I prefer a day out in the direction of the sheffield one though. We manage to go about once a month.

Also a saddo is my daughter, she had an additional card as part of her birthday pressy when her OH passed his driving test earlier this year :rotfl:

I am joining in as I really have to run the freezer down, DS is leaving next Friday and taking his freezer with him to Uni . Can't afford a replacement at the mo as we have the house on the market to sell up and move nearer to OH's work (140 mile daily round trip is killing us financially wih the price of fuel) So I have to be more efficient with the freezer I have and use up things which take up too much space per meal.

Probably have a couple of months meals for the two of us which should mean we can keep general top up spends down.

It will be pay day for OH on 15th so will put my first payment into the SP and will then be able to start to be a bit more selective about freezer purchases. I will proabably buy back some of the meat portions already in there to get the total up a bit quicker.

Once we have sold the house and got our life sorted I am going down the save up for a kitchenaid route - just can't decide what colour.

Well that sounds like a plan JayJay14. Good luck with your second pursing.

My KitchenAid may be closer than I think :D. DH is dropping massive hints as it's my birthday on Monday. Hope he doesn't just go and buy one - he is colour-blind. Lord only know what colour he would come back with :rotfl:

Thought I'd come on and report my latest 2nd purse purchase (I'm not officially running purses as the saving goes straight into debt payment)...

A 3kg bag of organic 5uma granola for £5.51 (used a tcb voucher to reduce it and used the subscribe and save to get it cheaper still, must cancel the subscription when it arrives)

3kg bag of organic 5uma museli, my favourite one mmm for £7 something

I've finally got round to buying a breadmaker using vouchers I've earned from SBs so now can use the umpteen boxes of yeast I bought when they were on offer at 4mazon the other month =) and all the flour I've been storing up, this'll save us money too.

Wiped out my second purse balance today in L!dl, buying MORE Ribena etc. I'm not charging myself full price as I can't bring myself to do that ;) but even so I have increased the value of my £15 by £5 and I'm still getting a bargain. :D

    Welcome Smoosh!

I agree it takes a bit of time to grasp the principle, but like us all on here, you will soon be obsessed :rotfl:

Went to Co$tco again yesterday - met a friend who has never been before. Ended going up and down every aisle so she could marvel at all the huge packets of goodies :D

Spent something in the region of £60 from second purse which now makes me in debit. I do my totals virtually (luckily) so I know this will work for me.

I'm currently buying back most of the packed lunch items on a daily basis as I stocked up on rolls, crisps, juice cartons, frubes, etc. a couple of weeks ago. Have worked out I'm charging myself about £1.20 for a packed lunch (using branded goods) for each child, per day which beats school dinners at £1.90 hands down. Still making a tidy profit too :D

Update on my 3rd purse item - it was my birthday on Monday and MIL got me some JL vouchers, DH is giving me money, so I'm going to order my K!itchenA!d tomorrow! Soooo excited! Would have ordered it online but my bank account was compromised and they stopped my card. Nice birthday present that was - NOT!

Anyway hope everyone is doing well. Do post some updates if you can xx
