Paid my 2nd purse back today plus added my September £20. £1.78 moved over to 3rd purse (every little helps lol) so I now have a round £50 in 2nd purse. Thinking of a DR order to stock the freezer.

Went to MrT today and got babybel, dunkers, frubes and fruit flakes to store for the packed lunches which start again next Thursday. Children are VERY ready to start back - driving me mad :)

More purchases for my 'stock' today. 4 x $anex body wash on bogof in Shoes. Usually £2.35 each but paid £5 for 4. Charging myself £2 when I buy them back. They are 500ml bottles so last a good while and are lovely on my dry skin.

Also did a small DR order last night. Pork sausages (double value pack) and marinated pork steaks - something new to try. Order is coming on Tuesday so not long to wait :D

    Off to update my totals.

    Hi All,

Have been busy too, but still keeping to 2nd purse rules! Thanks Coxy11, for the tip on Sanex, I have just started my last one, so will hunt out another stash using 2nd purse. I have a full freezer, cupboards and fridge, so my profit is going straight to 3rd purse at the moment :j

Okay I have read and read and I THINK I understand it. ;)

I would like to take part as I hate having to pay full price for things just because I didn't have the spare money to buy more of them when they were on offer, this idea would be perfect!! :T

I don't actually have anything specific I want for Purse 3 (although there's always a list of things when I think about it). But we are hoping to buy our own home again next year and we are also hoping to go on a surprise (for DD) dream holiday for Christmas next year so any extra money would be good. :D

I guess I'll aim to work my second purse up to £100, it will definitely be £50, will see how storage space goes etc. Things I'll be looking out for is dishwasher tablets, clothes wash, RIBENA (DH and DD drink it likes it's going out of fashion!!) along with any other bargains that catch my eye!!

I know some of you do the Grocery challenge, do you take the £10 each month for the second purse from your monthly GC amount? Or do you budget a separate £10 for it? :)

Looking forward to turning my understairs kitchen cupboard into a mini shop! ;)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

    Hi mossy!

Welcome to 2nd pursing. I also take part in the GC but I put a seperate £20 aside for my 2nd pursing each month. Kerri who started this thread should be along soon to add you to the first page, but in the meantime make a note in your signature to keep track of where you are.

Most of us have a spreadsheet to record what we buy, how much for and how much of that item we have left. It sounds complicated but it needn't be. My family are on board and won't now dream of taking a loo roll without telling me :rotfl:

I tend to pay my 2nd purse back weekly as lots of things in my 'stock' are basics, packed lunch items etc. When I first started it was a fairly slow build up, but once you get the hang of the system it becomes second nature.

Good luck and do keep posting, especially if you find any bogofs or hp items you think others may be interested in ;)

Aww thanks for the welcome Coxy. :)

I was talking to the teacher I'm working with about SP today and trying to explain it. She stores her bargains and keeps a track of them but doesn't have a second purse as such. Turns out she loves MSE too and is a coupon genius so I think we're going to have a great year for bargains between us!! :D

I think I'll take a separate £10 out each month for my second purse and have already 'borrowed' a purse from DD. :p Still not sure I can bring myself to charge myself the full price for items but I'll definitely try and add a little on top. :rotfl:

Edit: Very excited just tidied up in the kitchen understairs cupboard and have space for Mossy's Market!! :D And I've just made myself a spreadsheet! :T I think my first purchases are going to be Ribena and Nutella!!
