I was like your friend, followed the principles but never bothered with a second purse. Be warned, it's addictive :rotfl:
There's no way I could be trusted to buy nutella in bulk :eek: I would eat it in bulk too0 -

Hmm yeah it will be hidden from DD. I discovered yesterday that she had eaten almost a full jar with a spoon over a couple of days! :eek: We had a talk about whether that was a good idea or not!! And I've told her I'm not buying any more for a couple of weeks!I guess that's my fault for not noticing!!
Someone posted a recipe for nutella truffles on the Christmas board the other day...I'm going to try and make them, I'm not sure they'll make it as Christmas gifts though!!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Sounds like a plan Mossy!
I have a cupboard in the kitchen plus some shelving in the garage. Kerri the OP bought a new bed with storage and now keeps her baked beans and cous cous in it - I like to think she actually needed a new bed :rotfl:Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Well my second purse is now up and running, which is exciting. :j Feels nice to have Mossy market downstairs. I explained in layman's terms to DH that I was buying extra bargains and when we used them I had to pay myself back and so asked him not to take anything out without letting me know. It's not so difficult now with a few things but I'm sure when it's been going for a while it won't be so obvious to see if someones taken something.
I made the fatal error of checking the SM websites for any 1/2 price and bog0f offers last night which subsequently meant I dreamt about SPC and buying bargains all night!! :eek:
Was going to spend £10 but then found various offers and thought I'd take advantage and up it a little bit for the first month to help get it going. Was a bit sad because a Ribena 1ltr bottle was £1.50 in !celand the other day but the POS label showed it as £2, however when it went through the checkout it was still £1.50. :j Think I might go back tomorrow to pick up some more as it's so expensive normally and that is a great price!!
If anyone is interested !celand currently have an offer on a six pack of Heinz Baked Beans selling at £2, which works out at 33.3p a pack which is slightly better than buying them in the current 2 for £3 offer in Sainsbugs etc which works out at 37.5p (although you can choose between beans and spaghetti). We don't buy the spaghetti and only occasionally have beans but it's much cheaper than paying 70p :eek: for a tin!!
Haven't quite worked out how to display my SPC details on my sig yet, so will have a look through here to see how you all do yours.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
I grabbed a few bargains from Aldi yesterday. Looks like they're reducing a lot of the summer frozen range. I bought 4 packs of marinated chicken breasts reduced from £1.99 to .99p and 4 packs of frozen mini corn on the cob reduced from .99 to .49. The chicken is fine - it's ready cooked and I have used it for lunches in salads, it can also be heated so quite a useful standby. They also had half price burgers and lollies, but I didn't bother with those:D0

Wish I had an A!di locally
On a brighter note(!) I am again off to Co$tco tomorrow to stock up the youth club tuck shop. I have an idea of what I'd like to get for home use - juice cartons for packed lunches, bottles of either Oa$i$ or luco$ade for DS1 plus a couple of other bits. Sad to say I still get excited going there as does my friend who just texted to tell me how excited she is. Got to get a life :rotfl:Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -

Just delurking to say on the costco saddo scale I can beat you. We are going to Croydon tomorrow for a long weekend, our first meal will be in costco tomorrow night - and we are staying at the Hilton which is across the road :rotfl:So looking forward to my tuna jacket with pizza on the side after the journey.
(Will add that we have got the room inc breakfast for £56 a night over three nights - cheapest deal with free parking for miles around and their breakfasts are usually fantastic)0 -
We need a new thread - the Co$tco Saddos Society :rotfl: Our branch is literally 1/4 mile down the road from me so I am in the habit now of 'just popping in' when I need something rather than doing a 'big' shop.
Weird fact: You'd expect I'd be spending loads more in there shopping this way. But it actually results in far fewer impulse buys as mentally I am only prepared to spend what I need for that item. When I do a big shop I always allow some over for unmissable bargains. Isn't psychology strange eh?0 -

Can you send me a PM if I need to add anything about you to the front page please.
Again apologies for the absence, oh and has anyone seen that L1dl are doing bog roll but for £1 more than they normally do, how rude! I was waiting for that offer, off to mr A I pop for their offer instead!Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:
