Mothership - that's outrageous. It makes an awful situation so much worse. Good to have you back with us. Feel free to vent anytime xx
Second purse now up to £16.63 - very happy with that. Just been in John Lewi$ with MIL to admire the mixer I want. I told her I have been saving up (£156 in 3rd purse plus have £50 vouchers left from Christmas). She suggested she gets me vouchers for my birthday in September. Errrr.....OKAY THEN :jCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Morning ladies,
Firstly, Mothership, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss and of all the hoo-ha that silly people are causing. Try not to let them get to you.
I'm rejoining the SP challenge as I sort of fell off the wagon and got all confused! I'm losing my job at the end of September so need to build good stores and as it's payday tomorrow that seems like a good place to start.
I've done a bulk order for catfood which will come out of my normal grocery budget but will buy from my stores the things I would normally buy monthly such as toiletries, and that will be my SP balance for this month. I'll report back over the weekend once I've worked out what I'm doing!!0 -
Just bought 3 of these...

I was needing cheering up, so I bought these with the 3rd Purse, they were all at the right price. I've not done my totting up for June and July. But seeing as I've not bought much and been living off what we have in stock, I reckon I will owe the 2nd Purse in excess of £200 by the end of July, so there's more than enough to cover my spend. I can just hear my OH "Oh no not more orange stuff ROTFLMAO!"
There's also a code for a further 20% off for their bed linen site WHC 201st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Wow Mothership - good for you. That's a fab website, I'm quite tempted to buy a few bits myself.
I stayed over at the school last night, and in my absence some 2nd purse goodies were consumed (evidence left in the fridge). Will tot up spends later. Not looking to bulk buy anything much before the end of the month - famous last words......Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -

They have a black wide mouthed kitchenaid for around £200 with the 15% off code and free delivery. I was sorely tempted LOL.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Ooh pretty things
If anyone deserves a bit of cheering up it's you, so enjoy using them and making lovely meals
I've fallen off the wagon too, I thought I wasn't organised enough to do this properly and it turns out i was right, so I've no idea what ive saved but I'm certainly saving money by bulk buying and bargain hunting, so thanks to everyone for the inspiration and to mothership for the initial idea. When you think about it, you must have saved hundreds of pounds for other people as well as yourself :T
