    Hello all

I'm back after a very long absence so will be starting again soon as haven't been keeping track or SP-ing for a couple of months due to being in my wedding bubble....

    ...

The good news is that I left my weekly £10 standing order running so if nothing else, I have £110 in my SP account to spend on bargains :p

    How is everyone?

    Helen xx

Hello!! and congrats on the wedding!

I am 'wel jel' of your SP balance :p mine is still in the red :o

DR seems to have a few bargains on their website at the moment and if you go through quidco you get cashback and free p&p - that's if you eat meat!!! Might be worth a splurge seeing as you have the funds available hth.

Last time I was here I would have been straight there but I'm newly vegetarian....! ;) It seems my whole family is heading that way: First my brother and his gf, then me, then my mum....don't think DH (:Dfirst time I've called him DH!) will ever give up his meat though :rotfl: unfortunately he's rarely at home to eat so would be a waste on him. ;)

Thanks though. It's good to be back

Don't be jelous - it's not real SP savings - just money put aside :o ('regular' savings, if you like )
    xx

AF order coming tomorrow :j - how sad am I? Need to get some cupboard space organised as there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of items. Should see my stock balance rise by £75 at least despite not including some of the delivery items. Very happy with that

    Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't posted for a few weeks, but I've been really busy. Second purse seems to be going well, have really got the hang of it now. The only downside is that because we live in quite a rural area, we only have a small range of shops and i have to travel quite far to go to place like B&M, although with the school holidays coming I should be able to go on a couple of shopping trips without having to rush back for 3.
  • I have been the start of this thread for a while, not all 133 pages mind!
    It's such an intriguing idea!

Today I had an unexpected windfall of £20 so I decided to start a 2nd purse with it and managed to spend £!6.63 on BOGOFS and 1/2 price items.

I'm hoping I can make this work if I'm organised. Thank you to mothership for her original post and to Kerri for this thread.

    Welcome lancashiregirl

AF order arrived today so we are well stocked up with biscuits, snacks, rice, noodles etc. Most of it is 2nd purse stock.

2nd purse slowly coming back towards the black. I am updating with what we use on a daily basis. Luckily today we needed dog food so that was £9 straight to the purse. Hoping to get back to zero or a positive balance by the end of next week.

  • Thank you Coxy11, I'm getting ridiculously excited about this and keep trying to explain it to people, it's not easy! I think I shall just refer them here in future.

Sorry for the loooooong absence. My poor stepson finally passed away on the 2nd of July, his funeral was on the 10th. It was just horrendous, made worse by the antics of someone who should have known better. It was like being stuck on the Jeremy Kyle show for weeks.

My 2nd and 3rd Purse are all over the place. It will take me ages to sort it all out, I've not spent much of my grocery budget, but I will owe the bulk of it to my 2nd Purse, we managed to survive with what we had in stock, we only bought a few wee bits and bobs.

Just popped on to say hi to all of you and welcome to all the newcomers. Boy have I missed you all, this thread keeps me focused and grounded.

Oh mothership <hug> so so sorry for your loss :( The purses will be sorted over time, just focus on your family for now and try not to let others drag you down :(

Lots of love and a slightly dodgy looking hug sent to you all :grouphug:
