What sort of stuff from the freezer are you thinking of?
I put 50p aside for a pudding, jelly and ice-cream for example.....if I have ice-creams like Magnums or Cornetto in the freezer, I only buy from SM if they cost 50p or less, but pay back £1.00 each (corner shop price-ish).
Mothership puts aside £3.00 for meat from her freezer.
I tend to charge what I paid + an extra 50p to £1.00 - so for example I use chicken costing £1.99 but pay back £3.00.
The great thing about SPing is the flexibility, so I tend to pay more when I have spare cash....when I am having a broke week, I pay back less :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was thinking about the using up of odd stuff in tubs..... for example, last night I 'made' a chilli out of a one-portion tub of bolognese, and a one-portion tub of actual chilli (bit of extra chilli powder, OH never knew the difference).... I'll probably put in £1 per tub. All the other stuff, like the chicken etc, I'll so like I do my store cupboard....
I think I'll be using my SP3 to save for a small chest freezer!:rotfl:
Thanks for the info

C@stc@ are good for some things, if you can check out their spices, their Californian Garlic and ground black pepper are amazing! I find some black pepper a bit harsh , but this one is really palatable , canny remember the name of it as I put all my spices in jars during my mad kitchen clean up.

Has anyone been having problems with DR whereby they don't leave a calling card? I had to complain last week as they didn't leave one for my parents and the chicken went off
they were very good though and are sending a replacement out

I always choose the 'I will be in' from their drop down menu. I find it best with meat to make sure you know when its coming. I write all the deliveries in my diary. They have excellent customer services.
We had their steak strips in a stir fry last night OMG! so tender juicy and incredibly tasty.
I see they have whole salmon on offer at the moment.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Ah, I see......I tend to pay £1.00 when I use a LO from the freezer because I think of it as a "proper" meal because it is frozen in a proper container.
If I have LO's in the fridge and have them another day, I dont usually pay SP for them......I suppose because I think of them as LO's and not "proper" meals.
Yes, my brain works in mysterious ways!
So today I have made DR minced steak into the basis for cottage pie/savoury mince etc.
I owe SP £3.00 for using it as mince and I will be freezing one or two portions, so will pay for each of them too......in due course0 -
My Dad forgot that the order was coming, and they keep leaving it by the garage not the back door which is a pain. I'm just going to have to keep reminding him when it's going to arrive I think although I did tell them to leave the calling card so they know they've left it outside.
I agree about the beef strips, they're amazing!
I think there's a box you can put instructions in nr the drop down menu, or alternatively ring DR and tell them.
I thought you were veg alone Kerri. DD1 told me when she was 5 she wanted to be a veg alone, so from then on all Vegetarians are 'Veg alone's'. Don't tell me DR meat has changed you mind.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

OH is veg alone, my housemate is vegan so we don't cook any meat in this house (aside from the bbq this weekend). But I will eat it when I'm at my parents if it's good quality, otherwise it does wonders to my stomach  but DR doesn't do that, it's amAzing! I've not been able to eat mince for about 5 years without it giving me terrible problems 30 seconds later, DR nothing, not even a rumble and it's delicious mmmm
I know , I was the same with all SM meat/processed foods, I had IBS for years. I've got rid of all the symptoms now, since I started cooking from scratch again, and we discovered DR. It makes you wonder what the SM are feeding us.
I discovered Oat Bran a while back ( was trying it out to see if it helped before I mentioned it) Suma 5 kg from @mazon £19 if I remember right.
You add a few tablespoons to your oatmeal while cooking, they remove the bran LOL, I put it back in , if you have gut problems it will help you , seemingly all the gunk in your gut sticks to it and it keeps the bowel clean. Wonderful stuff!1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
