Thats good you got it sorted out. I find spreading the offers out over as many months as possible is the best way to do it. I don't have to worry about buying meat. We had their steaks last night for dinner absolutely yummy.
Mmm yummy I used to love steak mm mm mm. Dad and my sister are pleased they don't have to worry about meat for ages now too :) They looove the sausages, my 2yo nephew thinks he's gone to heaven with those.

Well my shopping trip took me about 3 hours in total but it was well worth it! Meant I was walking around and exercising as well as saving money!

Got a few good deals and used some of my weeks shopping budget to get a couple of them and now have a few little things in my shop AND money left over on top of my £5.00 I kept back for milk top ups in the week! :j

    From Mr T
Season and shake beef casserole mix 5 @ 37p repay £1.49 ( just freakishly reduced saying half price but amount said quarter price!)
    Utterly Butterly B1G1F 2 @ 90p repay £1.80

    From Mr M
Tuna chunks in spring water 6 @ 50p repay 80p (I would normally buy Mr S basic even though these were normally £1.39 each deal 2 for £1.00)

    From Mr S
    Schwartz bolognese seasoning mix 6 @ 50p repay 98p (98p each deal of 2 for £1.00)
    Branston beans 8 @ 37p repay at 63p (£2.55 4pk deal of 2 for £3.00)

All the deals I got were things I was either going to buy anyway for my recipes this week or things I know I would of got or buy on a regular-ish basis so all in all a few hours! :T
    MFW £190,450/£141,140
  • Welcome acl2009 - you are already doing really well :j. It made me laugh when you said you made your shopping list including prices and totals as I do that too - so now I know I'm not the only one :D.

Yesterday I got from Mr A:

Percol coffee £2.98 pay back £3.70.

London Tea Bag Company fairtrade and organic herbal teas 20 bags for 50p per box (bargain :) - they must have priced them up wrong!), pay back 80p as I usually buy Mr A or Mr S's own brand.

Now my stock is worth £89.00 :j.

Good shopping today at Fresian Foods :D

I wrote out my shopping list this morning and was able to get nearly half of it from The Cupboard Mr Fresian Dare Not Open :rotfl: I paid the SP around £14, which is still less than these things would have cost me in the supermarket.

I then did a fresh food shop, nothing was really on offer, so I didn't have to stock up on anything. I did manage to get a dinner service in Sain$bury$ for £7.50 which I'm thrilled about as my old plates were getting past it.

The best buy of the day though - hair dye! I normally pay £4.49-£5.49 in the shops, but it's half price in $uperdrug, so £2.69 per packet! I bought five, which will keep me looking lovely for the next six months! I didn't want to empty my purse completely, so five will do for now and if I end up putting more into the Cupboard next week if the offer is still on then so be it!

I'm starting to think I'm going to have to move some items around though - it won't be closable soon :)

Hey all, just checking in for my weekly update! I definitely seem to have turned a corner this week. Here's what I bought:

3 tubs of White Vegetable & Cheddar Soup (0.35 each, sell back £1.55 each)
2 individual Cheese & Onion Pies (0.25 each, sell back £1.48 each)
Pack of Extra Special Fishcakes (0.60, sell back £2.28)
4 bags of Haribos (0.50 each, sell back £1 each)
2 boxes of Frosties (750g) (£2 each, sell back £2.68)
Pack of Cheese and Onion crisps (6) (0.83, sell back £1.18)

Am really having to buy very little from the supermarket now, and can make lots of meals from what we already have. I like to pick up a few reduced bits and bobs here and there to bump up the stockpile :)
    2nd Purse #036 £46.69/£50.00 :) 3rd Purse £30.02

This is the end of the month for me so...

My GB for April is £200

    I owe my 2nd Purse
25 days @ £3 per day £75 (for meats used from the freezer.)
    Various items used £42
    April's £10 = £127
    Add balance in purse £10.66 = £137.66

    Transfer £37.66 to 3rd Purse contents of £86.04 = £123.70

Leaving £100 float in 2nd Purse.

After paying my 2nd Purse what I owe it I have £73 + £4.54 from March leaving me with £77.54 for the next month.

    1st Purse £77.54
    2nd Purse £100.00
    3rd Purse £123.70

I wont update my signature for a few days till everyone sees this.

I Started out with £200 GB, as you can see from the contents of the 1st and 2nd Purse, even after paying back all the money I owed I still have most of that money to spend.
    1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB
    2nd Purse ££100
    :rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
    Fridge Freezer £300 3rd Purse /£290.94

Ive had a bit of a re-jig on my SP pricing as 1) I hated all those odd number buy back prices, so have rouded them all down :o and 2) I hadnt actually priced some things at a buy back cost of the alternative I would have bought if the ones ive got hadnt have been on offer IYSWIM  anyway, my stocks worth a bit less but on the whole is more in line with what I would have paid if I had just gone to the supermarket :o

    Hello!

I managed to find a couple of deals in Mr M on Saturday (though ended yesterday, I'm afraid :()

The best being toilet rolls for £2.24 for 9 (half price), so 24.8p each. I bought 3 packs as couldn't fit any more in the trolley, but that should last 2 of us quite a while!

Update after March payday and a rough stocktake:

    2nd Purse: £81.78, 3rd Purse: £0
    Stock value: £130.45
