Just a quick question in preparation for starting my stock...

Did anyone do a large stock up first of all? What I'm getting at is there are so many good offers on at the moment that I want to get, it will take me well over my 2nd purse first monthly payment. It seems such a shame to let some of these great deals pass me by, especially in things that I will definitely use and aren't just getting because they're on offer.

    Thanks!
I went a little OTT and bought loads of offers, I've now got loads of stock and hardly need to shop in the SMs at all :) Remember though, the offers come back round again so it's not a case of the world is about to end because you can't afford to buy 40+ tins of beans, or 10000 loo rolls :D

Well I'm off to do this weeks SM shop in a bit but as its the last week of the month I can't start my second purse properly as I'll only have this weeks £50 budget. I always try and make my week last 8 days as this fits in with my job which is an 8 day rolling rota. E.g. This week I start my shifts on Sunday, week after Monday, week after Tuesday etc...

For once I've actually done a little research before I set off and rather then just going straight to Mr S as its the closet, I'm going to be going to Mr M and Mr T as well to get the best price on things. I might be able to get a couple little bits for my shop out of this weeks budget if I've worked things out properly.

I'm a little bit of an organisation freak so have made a list, how much each item is and how much my weekly shop is going to come to and how much I will need for top up milk during the week! I've also started a spreadsheet with the deals I've found that i would like on mySupermarket, and when they expire.

If I get some good deals this week and I'm able to do a little stock up I'll let you all know. I'm so excited about getting started its sad!!

I'm putting £10 per week to SP but gave myself £40 at the start. I could easily have spent a lot more as it seemed there were loads of offers but it really made me think about how good those offers really were, and pick the best. Now I think about these "deals" as the marketing ploys that they really are and make sure that I look at the other options. I'm no expert and have only been doing this for 2 months but am already starting to learn the price of the things I buy regularly ;)

Has anyone had any problems with the DR code [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]spr12e1326 not giving 10% discount? It says it should be available until 2nd April :(

I was trying to order their chicken which is on the email with the discount code. Although that's coming up as £9.90 instead of the email price of £9.50. I've called them and they gave me a different code saying that their spr12e codes aren't working properly. Then I've put in my orders online and emailed them with the discrepancy in price.

I've got sausages coming until end of Sept, and chicken until mid-June (well my parents do as I don't eat meat)

Thats good you got it sorted out. I find spreading the offers out over as many months as possible is the best way to do it. I don't have to worry about buying meat. We had their steaks last night for dinner absolutely yummy.
