Payday
Topped up with my usual £20 and repaid the money I owed to the SP, leaving a balance of £54ish. I've put the £4ish into my piggy bank (first deposit for the third purse, woo!) and had a balance of £50.
I've bought 9kg of catfood for £37.90 (sodding sensitive cats with their sensitive tummies. I miss the days when they were on Aldi food at 99p per kg!) and will charge myself £8.50 per bag. I forgot that I owed £8.50 for another bag I used last week before payday, so my SP is now sitting just over £20.
I need to review stocks in all cupboards, but am specifically looking for good offers on beans (heinz or Branston) and Heinz ketchup. All help appreciated!0 -
Ok here we go one baked cheesecake receipe
150g digestives biscuits
75g margarine
500g cream cheese
1 1/2 tbsp plain flour
150g sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
125ml soured cream
Melt marg add crushed digestives and press into a round deep cake tin (use grease proof in tin)
Beat cream cheese, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs and sour cream till smooth consistency
Add to tin and bake for 35-40 mins at 180 or gas 4, when finished turn oven off and leave door ajar for 15 mins, then remove
I have used the cheapest ingredients and it tastes the same, it also tastes better when its left overnight in the fridge, can be frozen, so all you singles can slice and freeze
NOTE for those that have diabetes probs, I have made this with plain scottish oatcakes instead of digestives and splenda Tastes just as goodDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Tilly Tidy Founder in 2016, Tilly Tidy 2023 £17.43, NSD Jan 2023 9/10, Debt £13,491.650 -

Good morning all - hope you are all well - my stash is again proving its worth as I have injured my back and hubs is in charge but of course I simply have to tell him where the stocks are
Have quickly scan read back and not sure if it has been mentioned or not but there is a PDF coupon link in the coupon thread for wrights bread and cake mixes the coupon is for 80p so makes the bread mixes free in lots of places or usually only a few pence - the PDF is dated until Dec so lots of freeish bread just the energy cost of baking but it can go in with other things or make double and freeze a portion0 -
Hope your backs better soon dreamerbea

Went to superdr*g today to get some as its that time again, scanning the shelves and going  £2, £2.59 etc, then on the bottom shelf in plain white wrapping, their own brand essentials range for 59p 14 in a pack works out at a smidge over 4p each and this is one area that I never used to think about money wise when I was younger and did just grab the alw*ys or b0dyform (darn you tv advertising) and pay for the pretty packagingSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £0/£10000 -
Who was planning on getting a dehydrator? Is it Kerri?
Lakeland catalogue just arrived and I notice they have a 5 tray one for £50.99 which seems a lot cheaper than other ones I have looked at, although no idea about the spec.
If anyone is interested, it's here:-

My new bed has arrived and I've kept half of the ottoman part free for SP items ideal place to hide excess loo roll from my housemate so she buys some when it's her turn
hehehe I've just filled one half of the ottoman part of my bed with mostly cous cous and baked beans my shelving in my room is looking a little barer now, but I think this should help me to keep track of what I have spent as I can do a "shop" from my "shop" each week like some others do IYSWIMDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks for the link I have often toyed with the idea of one of these - not sure I would use it enough to justify the cost -but will have a good look at it later0 -
I've got another shop picture The entire left side of my bed is now all shopped up, mostly cous cous but also beans, flour, yeast, and matzah balls mix
