Oh oh fess up who are they, it's so hard to get good material xxx
fabricdepot dot com :) They charge $18.30 shipping on upto 8yds. Which seems a lot when you look at it like that, but when you think that FQs sell for £3.50 odd each, and they have tonnes of different fabrics it works out cheaper. They can ship for larger quantities but that has to be quoted for first. When I put in my order I'll let you know how much they charge. I think I'm going to go for a good range of fabrics so I can have a little pile of yardage to make things for craft fairs :D

  • Dreamerbea - can't believe you were burgled and for washing powder - that's terrible :grouphug:.

It's funny we too had sweet and sour chicken today, left over from yesterday's roast, but using a jar from Mr S :o, cos it was only 25p. Also boiled up carcass of chicken for stock so will make chicken soup out of that for lunch :) - so domesticated :rotfl:.

Polkadot -welcome back - was wondering where you were.

My 'week' starts on Wednesday as this is the day I can go to Mr L on way back from Uni (I don't like to make a special trip there 'cos of petrol costs ;)).

*delurks* There are lots of American fabric websites that will ship to the UK. Most use a Global Priority envelope which is about $13 flat rate from memory, but it's probably gone up. Only other thing to watch is customs charges, this includes the fabric and the shipping cost, so worth checking you're going to be under the limit (although it can still be cheaper than buying in the UK! And some will under value on the declaration.). I've bought lots from America over the years, it was even cheaper than buying fabric with my discount when I worked in a fabric shop. :o *relurks*

I understand the hungry phases, DS's coeliacs play havoc with my food stock, if hes hungry hes starving, you'd think I hadnt fed him for a week

List of dinners  now I have alot of food problems so I do make 2 meals a night at times :o I'll write this weeks menu as its the easiest to remember :rotfl:

    Sunday: full roast chicken dinner
Monday: Roast Dinner / Chicken Curry
Tuesday: Sausage, Mash Potato and beans
Wednesday: Roast Dinner / Lasagne + HM chips
Thursday: Ham and Cheese Omelette, Saute Potatoes and Beans
    Friday: Stew in yorkshires
Saturday: Fry Up (whatever ive got in the freezer tbh :rotfl:)

If we have roast beef on a sunday, then monday for the boys is taco night and lasagne wednesday becomes something else :o. If I have battered fish/fishfingers in then they would prob have fish chips and mushy peas, or if I see a bit of cod reduced then a huuuuuuuuge fish pie is in the offering.

Im actually thinking of changing thursday to a chicken pie  might have to look for a G/F pastry recipe online :rotfl: as you can tell, my meal plans success is largely dependant on whats in the freezer and my wants :rotfl:

EDIT: actually the most popular dinner I ever made was something called a baked bean pie  it was a pastry case with baked beans in the bottom, squares of ham on top and then beaten egg poured over the top and baked in the oven for 40 minutes. The 3 of them demolished it! cost me next to nothing to make

    1) I have balanced purses today, SP did have £20 and then:-

SP bought 2 x large Bold gels for £3 each and 2 x 24 Colour Catchers for £2 each to add to Sallys Stores.

Then I bought from Sallys Stores:-

    Wotsits bought @ 99p and paid £1.50
Animal mini biccies bought @ 76p and paid £1.50
Dishwasher tablets bought @ £1.00 and paid £2.50
Kitchen Roll bought @ 50p and paid 50p

So £10 out of SP and £6 back in, so SP is now at £16 (my max balance is only £20) and my 3rd Purse has £20.

    2) I had my 1st DR steak yesterday, it was rib eye - no water at all came out as I cooked it, the fat went brown and crispy, it hardly shrank at all or curled up as it cooked and it tasted lovely and there were NO bits I couldnt chew and no gristly bits left on the side of my plate, so very pleased with that!

    3) Feeling very delicate and sad today. DD and grandson are moving into their own place and for the 1st time in my life, I will be shopping for and cooking just for myself........:( In Sainsburys I bought 2 carrots and 4 big mushrooms to go in the lasagne I am planning to make tomorrow..........:(

    OMG - I felt like such a Billy-No-Mates!!! :o

Living on my own is going to take an awful lot of getting used to and BUYING for one??????? HELP!!! :(
