Well I'm going to make another lovely saving using my 2nd purse, although I will have to pay the 2nd purse back bit by bit
I've decided to buy myself an e-reader like I bought the OH. I have £60 of vouchers (£55 leaving present, £5 SB), so it'll cost me £19.99. That's going to be 2 e-readers bought for £48 instead of £298. I know it's cheating as I had vouchers, but I will be paying the 2nd purse back.
I guess it's like being my own catalogue company. I charge myself £20 a month for the item at 0% interest, yet bought it for cheaps so the 2nd purse keeps the profits
Also placing an order for the yummiest museli I've ever had. Suma luxury tropical mmm. Tried to have SM brand today and it was ick! even with yoghurt. Oh and whilst I remember putting in an order for 10kg oats as wellDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks Munni and Sue, I am a firm believer of quality over price for certain items, I cut back wherever I can apart from the items that spending the extra makes a big difference, in our case that is coffee, bread and certain hair products (as a good hair day makes the world of difference to the way I feel) but this needs to stretch to meat for many reasons. We are trying to be thrifty as times will soon be harder than ever. Hubby found chicken legs MrA own brand very cheap in the bag froxen. I was stunned by the price but like shopping can always be wth a toddler my focus was quickly taken away and we bought them. We had them a few nights ago and sadly I left most of mine as the meat had bloody bits and bits that seemed brused and poor quality that looked questionable. I'm sure it's much more than the quality than the treatment of these animals so but I wont get into that at the moment but if I can buy some great quality meat at a good price and ubsidise good meat by some vegetarian meals or usingcheaper cuts to ustify a better standard of eating then so be it.
I completely agree with the premise of improving the quality of your food/life via this method. A wise person told me 'you can have those super mocha skinny choca locha latte's from your local coffee shop everyday if your willing to sacrifice other things to do so' ie downgrade a brand or shop cheaper shops etc. i see exactly where you are coming from.
Just a quick thank you to everyone who has been so helpful, friendly and supportive. This year we have less incomings and more utgoings and it is seriously scary but you all are such an inspiration of how you can cut back with just being a little bit more savvy than your average shopper and it's no doubt in my mind you all know a good bargain when it stares you in the face, which sadly I sometimes just cannot see being a former spending addict to a spending thrift!Comping wishlist for 2017

I bought the Braising pack and a steak pack
One pack of the diced steak was plenty for a casserole, it didn't disintegrate and the meat was good sized chunks
The joint, um didn't think, it was frozen so we had roast twice that week, I do like look of the new mini joint packs that Mothership posted about, so am after a couple of them, possibly they will be the start of my advanced purchasesDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Actually, I could probably manage to store something like those mini pot roasts.....sound yummy!
I've not been paying much attention I'm afraid. Would someone mind going over the referral process again for me? (here or pm)

I really want a big freezer. Feel that I'm missing a trick here
I don't have a big FreezerGot 1 half and half, and 1 Smaller half and half ( I want one the same size as my other 1)
I just have mostly meat in mine.
I don't freeze fish ( except fish fingers) I buy that fresh
I don't freeze Veg (except peas) Prefer fresh veg too.
I don't freeze much chicken.
I don't freeze Pork, I find that pork and bacon has a weird taste and smell when its been frozen. I wonder if any of you have noticed this.
DR sent me frozen pork loin steaks as a gift once and I didn't notice any smell or taste once it was cooked, it was freedom pork. So I'm guessing that the cheap SM pork is from stock that is 'reared quickly ' and has been pumped with all sorts of growth accelerators, has something in it that causes this smell/taste.
I've ordered a pork roast from them to see if its any different.
I've got really sensitive taste buds I can tell what ingredients are in whatever I'm eating. I've mentioned the pork thing before and there are others that have noticed it too, though some suggested I wasn't wrapping it properly. I really don't think it was that. I'll be interested if any of you have noticed it.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
