    Hi
I have been looking at flats for a couple of months as I'm thinking of downsizing. Your flat looks lovely but the thing that would put me off is electric wall heaters. Don't know if I'm very old fashioned but I would want central heating.
    Just a thought.

I was just thinking about this again; don't go for a shot of the building as the main one on rightmove, go for something like the kitchen because it's lovely and far more interesting than any picture of a block of flats.

    :)

Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...
  • MJMum Im susspicious like that as well if the main pic isn't outside lol I think it must look ugly or scruffy or something lol

I have seen a picture done from the other side of the canal taking it of the opposite side of the building and it looks rather nice, so i'm going to get the new estate agents to take one from the same angle.

Bruja : Can not do anything about central heating, but the electric heaters are more than warm enough, even in this cold weather there on for 1 hours a day (6.30-7.30am) and the apt is warm all day, all new build apts I have seen so far have the electric heaters but thanks for the info!

Builders didnt bother coming today as it was to rainy for them (softies) so I don't think it will be finished tomorrow lol.

    Cheers
  • Just found the other external picture I had seen,

Do this do more justice, if I can get the EA's to get a pic from here?

Thats MUCH better! I've read this thread with interest and wish you the best of luck, you have a great attitude and I'm sure things will work out for you. I think you have to play up the canal aspect, that would DEFINITELY sway me. I'm lucky enough to live on the canal and houses on our street sell for £15k more than identical ones a few streets away, and that is no exaggeration.

    Good luck!!!

the problem you have is you have been deluded by the 'property hype' on tv and in the media. you paid 99k, why the heck would the next person want to pay 117k when inflation is 2% ??

only sellers believe the stuff on tv.
the picky buyers (as you now see) dont.

the sad fact is, yes you can easily sell your flat - but not so easy to get the free 18k profit. why not stop trying to profit and simply sell the flat and move on with your life.

you say your looking to sell, but i only see a person looking to profit.

    Jeez brainiac,
calm down dude, you sound just like me. I tried telling her something similar but she doesn't like that kind of negativity.

Please refrain in future & post helpful comments, like about how moving the bin to the other side of the kitchen should add £500 to the value, & about how reducing the price by 100 quid or so should result in a raft of eager buyers lining up with their cheque books out ;o

    Got the idea?
