When do.Aldi reduce lines with today's date? I went to an Aldi at 1:30pm and saw several packs of lettuce leaves and salad bowls with today's date on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I shop late because it's easier for me. What Aldi tend to do is take the product off the shelfs and write it off.
I have personally seen a normal size pallet with a large blue box, an I mean a very large box on it, filled to the top with out of date produce.
They do not reduce items. The more I live, the more I learn.

I have been shopping with Aldi in two of their shops for over 2 years.

Not sure this is true for all stores...only recently I bought 4 packs of pork mince with 50% off due to their date, I've also managed to get chicken portions reduced before.0 -

If you buy anything, other than groceries, do keep the receipt, otherwise they won't take it back. I was very lucky in that I bought something, got it home and found it wasn't working, and returned to Aldi with it. I'd thrown the receipt away, but knew what time I'd been in - and I'd paid by card. They scanned back through the till, found my purchase and then redunded me. I asked why, given it was obviously faulty, they wouldn't take it back without the receipt, and was told it was to prevent people stealing items and returning them for money. Fortuanately, I returned within a short space of time.
If it's electrical, the receipt acts as your guarantee, as well, remember.0 -

Sometimes they do - though doubtless it depends on the store manager. Fresh chickens are occasionally reduced, along with other things - we're always in pretty early, though, so I imagine that's when they mark down.0 -
The only time I have spotted reduced items in Aldi has been early morning. Unfortunately it's not convenient for me to shop at that time usually."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Aldi do reduce chilled items here but the reduced items are with the actual fresh product. Lidl has a reduced cabinet. Neither reduce fruit and veg here, which I think it's a shame they just throw it in the landfill container tbh.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
My local Aldi never reduces anything - all thrown out regrettably. Lidl has some good reductions often with a couple of days still on them. Aldi makes for boring shopping as the thrill of the chase simply isn't there!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
