Got two £15 vouchers yesterday so that will pay for Xmas dinner and the booze. Valid until 24th too! Cheers Aldi

I also got 2 vouchers yesterday, I was very pleased with the valid to date.

I will use these for stocking up for Christmas, we have family staying for a week as well as restocking the store cupboards.

Noticed in the accompanying pull out section Aldi have reduced the price of the special mince pies to £1.19 :j

I got a real 6ft Christmas tree form Aldi for only £19.99, it is a beautiful shape and really fresh, no needle drops yet.

Yesterday at Aldi i bought a reed diffuser called "Spruce" it was reduced to £1.49. It smells just like a real tree :D

Have you looked at the dates in other supermarkets? Same thing applies to them.

Nope. Having eaten Aldi SS, I won't settle for anything less now. They are sooooo good.

Finally got some in store dated until January. Can't wait to open the first pack...once the first pack gets opened, they'll be no stopping me! So holding out as long as I can

I bought the mini-mince pies and they are a bit hit and miss. Most were lovely, but one of the boxes I bought were all pastry and just the tiniest dab of mincemeat :o

    Mince pie taste testing completed:

    Aldi Specially Selected - 6/10
    Iceland Luxury - 8/10
    Waitrose All Butter - 9/10

Very subjective, of course, but thought the Aldi ones were rather less good than last year. Could perhaps explain why they're having to sell off so many close-dated ones at half-price.

Here's another recommendation for Aldi's Wagyu beefburgers. I possibly wouldn't have tried them had some kind soul not recommended them on here and I'm duly grateful. Aldi's 'ordinary' Scotch beefburgers are very good but these are even better,

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the beef is from New Zealand.

Sounds like the Mr Kipling ones my daughter bought at the Coop. Soooo disappointing :(

ETA: Don't Aldi use Mr K but re-badge their produce? If so, then it's Mr K to blame and Aldi need to find a new supplier lol

Brilliant, you've given me a great idea for our next girls' tea...a mince pie challenge.

Then we'll start on the cocktails :D

Eta: I bought some Mr Kipling mince pies from Poundland this afternoon. In the interest of research, of course. ;)

Our local college catering dept was in the market yesterday giving out free mince pies the students had made. Oh how good they were, homemade mincemeat as well. Haven't tried Aldis but their biscuits for cheese are the best I've ever had.
