Who's up for a £75 spend at Aldi later in the week then?

£15 off with the voucher in Thursday's Mirror or Daily Record.

Clearly our local Aldi do something to their stock of bread because I can honestly say we have never had a nice loaf from there. They are next door to Home Bargains so I get the Kingsmill wholemeal from there at £1.

I'm puzzled by the negative comments about Aldi's bread. Sadly, the branch I visited today didn't have any of their white bloomers (no Kenneth Williams jokes, please!) which I reckon is fantastic value for money at 99p - a really good sour dough bread..

Sadly I've never seen any sour dough bread in our branch.

We managed to grab YS mince pies at Aldi's a few times, 32 p for 6 and they were not bad. Even at 64 p for 6 I'd have been happy :)

Lidl is the place for Nuts. They are about the same price as the big supermarkets, but for about twice the quantity.

And they have slightly exotic variations like Pecans and Unsalted Pistachios.

I must admit i do like the aldi cashew nuts and reckon they are the best ones i have tasted.
    Keep right on :T
  • ALDI had some spreads in glass with a black plastic top as a special buy recently. I tried the chocolate orange and liked it so much that I wished I had bought 200 jars!

I have found that they are still available here and there, and am going to give them as Christmas presents. I have kept a good few for myself of course.

I've yet to find a packet of Aldi SS mince pies which have a date beyond 26 Dec. Aldi haven't picked up on the fact that people pick up a packet here and there and put them in a cupboard for the Cmas season.

Aldi Soft Cheese Roule with smoked salmon and dill - 99p.

Christmas special, I think there were a couple of other varieties.
