    Yes it does!
Mine is quite a small Aldi, so instant mashed potato could be one of the lines that it doesn't carry. Where is it in store, please?
(Given that all Aldi stores stick to the same layout).
I have looked in the past at length and can't find it.
I would expect to see it over with items like the rice, dried lentils, soup mix and pasta rather than with the tins.
Or is it over with the Oxo cubes, veggie rice and pot noodles?
Any help gratefully received, although if it's not as good as Smash at £1 for a big drum from Heron Foods it's a bit pointless changing!

    Oooh the mini chocolate bars!
Thanks Raksha. I like dark chocolate and really enjoyed the dark chocolate and marzipan bars.

  • We have just tried the Specially Selected Large Yorkshire Puddings with Beef Dripping and they were lush!

    These were an Aldi buy,

Lovely new bread at Aldi - Malted Bloomer - huge thick slices and light texture.

Also sampling Aldi's latest Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough (about £7.99 I think). It's lovely but not discernibly better than the cheaper Freeman's Bay SB (£5.89 ish).

Ooh just discovered there's a sparkling version on the Freeman's Bay at £9.99. Anyone tried it?

I haven' tried that but can thoroughly recommend the Cremant de Jura sparkling chardonnay at (IIRC) about £7.29.

It's usually by the ready meals (shepherd's pie etc). About 89p.

It's not the best but it's better than Smash. But if you can get Smash for a quid, maybe best to stick with that as you'll get more out of it. The Aldi one is "fresh" though, not freeze-dried.

We've been getting the Malted Bloomer in our Aldi for ages - I love it, but you have to go at the right time, because they tend to fly of the shelves straight away.

I have not tried the malted bloomer but bread is one thing we never buy at our local Aldi. Whichever loaf of any type we have got in the past has invariably been stale. Don't know if it is how they store them or what but they are a waste of money.
