Really? I LOVE Aldi's frozen chips. They're easily the tastiest and fluffiest ones I've had from any supermarket or any "brand" ones.

And there's nothing wrong with the bread either.

Me too we all love them and they are fantastic value for money

Love the aldi brown bread too...seems to last longer than tescos which goes mouldy in no time

I have to say, I'm not overly struck by the Lidl ones either, even though people on this thread rave about them.

Give me decent chips fried in oil once a year and I'm happy.

I go for Lidl's oven chips s mainly for the price. I never found the branded ones worth the cost and both Lidl's and Aldi's are so much better than T's and S's value ranges! Best of the oven chips at L's are in my opinion the American thin ones but tastes differ!

Aldi kitchen roll - decent strong squares, a 4 pack for 99p is excellent value
Aldi red salmon 1.99 for a tin - very nice
Used Aldi for the first time last week and was very impressed .

Do they still have it? The tinned mackerel disappeared from the shelves in our store a month or two ago.

My daughter loved the Aldi Calamari in Tomato Sauce (like the mackerel cans) but i've not seen it recently. They did it in oil too.

I brought mine couple weeks ago, didn't have much stock, but I always buy about 5 tins at time. Now will have to check. Hubby won't be happy as he says great snack.

I've not seen any tinned mackerel for a few weeks now. Only tuna, herrings and anchovies. I usually buy 4 tins in mackerel sauce every week so it's a tad annoying. Hope they re-stock soon.
