And if you value your waistlines DON'T buy Aldi's German chocolate Lebkuchen........they are totally gorgeous and I'm glad I live a 40 mile round trip from their nearest store."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

^^^^ Not a fan of these but love, love, love the 1kg stollen and mince pies from Lidl!

My only complaint with Aldi now is that is too busy! We have been shopping there ever since it opened a good few years ago and could get in and out with a trolly load in no time at all. Now it is taking 3 times as long with all the new customers blocking the aisles and causing long queues at the checkouts and packing stations!!!
Try going first thing if you can lots of stock and no queues0 -

Anyone know if Lidl are going to have their wonderful frozen whole duck offer back on for this Christmas?0

Has anybody noticed how Aldi seem to be sneaking in more branded goods? I noticed a while back they stopped stocking their own shredded wheat stocking only the nestle version instead. Now they seem to have stopped stocking their 12 pack cat pouches (the ones at £2.29 per box) and replaced them with Whiskas at £2.99 a box. Annoyingly I know I can get Whiskas at the big supermarkets frequently for £5 for two boxes, so hardly a bargain.0

My nearest Aldi is lovely, but extremely busy, and the time I can only really get there is in the afternoon because I combine it with a trip to town and if I go there before my town shopping then I cannot get chilled/frozen food, plus I live around a 40 minute trip away. Sometimes I just cannot park there and I have to come out again empty handed
The car park is ridiculous at the best of times - awkwardly positioned and tiny. I really wish they could make it like the Lidl one 200 yards down the road from them - huge and always loads of space!
An Aldi store has long been rumoured to be opening near me, which would only be a 20 minute drive awayI long for that day lol
Sorry onto the question! Aldi's poppodoms - hmm ok, but not nearly as nice as Sharwoods ones unfortunately. Their own Olive spread - can't taste the difference between this and supermarket equivalents (Waitrose one is gross though!), I have to agree with you suesmith - Lidl's individual Stollen bites are my favourite - lovely with coffee - or something stronger - lol, Aldi's chilled Nasi goreng (spelling sorry!), absolutely yuk! I will add other things later as I remember them0 -
Does anyone know what's this?

Isn't that a gift of some of Aldi's Bailey's equivalent and some glasses? Looks nice!0 -

My mum insisted on buying me some of those from Aldi yesterday, they are also gorgeous, in fact I think I put a stone on just walking down the seasonal food aisle in Aldi!
Tried Lidls own version of Pepparmi today, they are 69p for a 2 pack or 2 packs for 98p. Slightly thicker than Pepperami though not quite as long, taste the same!0
