Hello, My name is Pigpen, because I live in one.. and today I have done sweet FA!!!!

I went out after collecting my daughter from dance class.. in fact I stood at the end of the street.. watched her walk home, gave her a cheery wave and ran like the bejeepers!!

I've picked my specs (£114!!!!!!!!!) I think they are hideous (the opticians, I had all 4 on call and my mother said they look fine), but I think whatever I picked I would hate them.. I HAVE to wear them though so they'll have to do.. I can always get different ones at a later date if they are 'broken' (they are covered on the hosue insurance with £25 excess) I collect them on Thursday all being well.

I JUST got home at 10:30pm.. the children are all in bed, my 12 year old cooked dinner for the children, DH slopped it on plates (alphabites, sausages and beans before you call SS) and he put them to bed before resuming his mess making.

I haven't done any washing, I've not loaded the DW.. yesterdays pots are still on the side!!.. I don't suppose they'll go anywhere before tomorrow do you??

My eczema has decided to have a lovely appealing flare up, my arthritis is killing because it is freezing cold and my head is pounding (too much tv watching at my mothers with no specs!)

I am going to put on my snugly pj's watch some stargate.. make my headache worse.. and go to bed.

Ooooh I wonder if I have been so tired because of my need for the glasses.. the girls usually get really tired and headaches when they need new ones.. I really should be blonde!

Pigpen I am sure the dishes will be fine where they are, we all deserve days off occasionally. Hope your eczema and arthritis are behaving themselves soon, I find my eczema is always worse with stress, but evening primrose helps it. I think when I eventually get a DW (or is that if) I will be training the boys to put their own in!

Reformed, welcome to my second home, the residents here are not as scary as they first seem, we do let Pigpen out for good behaviour occasionally :D

Well I haven't gone to bed yet (can you tell) made DPs sandwiches & juice for tomorrow and they are in fridge, then noticed bench needed cleaning, ended up doing cupboard doors aswell and put a load of washing in  right that's it, done, dogs been out, going to kick them to bed, take leisure battery off charge as it's now beeping at me (other reason I stayed up as DP is charging it and I don't like leaving them switched on when I am in bed even if they do switch selves off  )

Oh in our house beef is 'burger meat' pork is 'sausage meat' chicken is 'nugget meat' and lamb is burger meat, if I mentioned they came from sheep (friends parents breed sheep and kids go to see them a lot) then they wouldn't eat it. They don't think they are missing out on the kiddie food friends mention and are more willing to eat it. I do like sheperds bush, that is a good one. Oh yes with veg, I even have to hide it in DPs food. He in fact ate a completely vegetarian meal last week and still has no idea :rotfl: big kids huh!

    Goodnight everyone
One day I might be more organised...........

  • I have worked like a trojan today. Whole house is tidied and cleaned. must admit although I feel I dont do that much during the week other than keep things ticking over it took me much less time today to get whole house ship shape so I must be doing more than I thought.3 loads of wash done too. Baked a loaf and a madeira cake yum yum. Weather was great so kids were out most of the day and I got peace and quiet to get on with my housework. Love love love my house all tidy. Such a nice feeling. xx

  • morning everyone.

I've not been bad this weekend. Yesterday i got milk and bread from the shop, picked up a parcel from the sorting office (baby's missing toy replacement, so he's now happy again), bag to the charity shop, made bread buns, and had a generally pleasant day with DH and little one.

    Today so far:
    • sterilised/made up bottles
    • fed baby and cats
    • emptied airers
    • got baby ready
    • done load of towels in washer
    need to:
    • make sweet potato puree for baby
    • wash bibs
    • wash some of my tops - feeding baby proper stuff is a lot more messy!
    • get chicken stock and chicken out of freezer and leave to defrost in fridge for tomorrow
    • buy my car tax online
    • wash my hair and have a face mask session
    • make a fish pie for tea
    • do some of the dreaded ironing (or at least admit that i don't want to do it, and put the stuff away without ironing)
    Enjoy the nice day everyone!

:rotfl: Your both lucky I do all the cooking and the clearing up. DP rarely makes himself a toasty (few times a year) but that's about it and I still have to clean up after him.

Right well DS2s room is tidy, DS1s (being defiant) isn't tidy. Rest of weekend isn't going to bad, been up since early and got another 2 wash loads done, goin to try and get dry outside as it's nice and sunny. Off to shop in a bit as need some broth mix then taking kids & dogs to the woods/park. Work can then recommence this afternoon :D
