Mumoftwo I'm doing bribary, my sons psychiatrist likes to call it a 'motivator' but it's a bribe whatever posh word you use! They are having PC time, then helping sort stuff for fayre, then more PC time/games time if they get it done! In fact oldest is doing his flappy hands bouncing at the mo, sounds like he's going to come through the ceiling!
Teenager DD1 needs to be bribed with PC time, only thing that works, she is 13 and as lazy as they come, she wanted her room done up for her birthday, I painted it all nice for her in colours that she wanted, thinking maybe it will motivate her to keep it tidy... Wrong. So today: Clean room or no Bebo, Msn, itunes etc etcI am soooooo mean (my daughters words)
My other daughter loves a tidy room and loves pottering about with me
2 kids, so different....0 -

I've done a load of washing and hung it outside but it's just sulking, don't think it's going to dry.
Made banana bread for the first time, only had one banana so I hope it's all right. It's still cooling. Made oatmeal cookies too - it said to cook for 25-30 minutes. Checked them after 20 minutes and some were burnt and the rest very well done. Grrr.
Not much else happening today, just normal cooking and washing up.0 -
I am REALLY fed up now. (I'm going to have a 3 year old style strop so either skip to the next post or don't read this one!)
FH (H= husband F is any expletive you deem suitable) has trashed the entire upstairs AGAIN.. there is filth from one end of the house to the other.
I am meant to be going to choose some specs today and my mother has conveniently 'forgotten' and made other arrangements.. I had to really psych myself up to go for the eye test anyway because I hate people touching me or breathing on me.. and I've now de-psyched so probably won't be going at all to choose any.. waste of the eye test money but hey ho.. I can't really afford to buy specs anyway, and I definitely don't want them.
The house is a pit and I am having 3 men in the house all week, which my husband knows I can't stand yet he is having to go to work, even though most of what he does he can do from home.
I may have to stamp my feet!!!
Oh.. AND he complained the downstairs was messy when he had finished yesterday.. there had been 7 children cooped up in 2 rooms all day !!!!!! does he expect???

Aww pigpen, give him a slap, tell him I told you to so he can't moan at you for it
Hope the 'upsidedownness' is all sorted soon
Cakes done, hmmm not much else so far, best edit the list and make myself feel guilty with what is left to dolittle ones refusing to help tidy, took long enough to get them dressed, so they in huffs as not allowed on PC, instead of just getting it done! Saying that I have about as much motivation as them today
One day I might be more organised...........

You had better warn him that we all know what he's said and we're all going to come around to slap him if he doesn't behave!!:rotfl:
Well, I think I've probably been slacking this week as my littlies had H/T and we've been doing stuff most days. My mum never played with me or took me anywhere, not even a walk, when I was small so I struggle to think of things to do and even simple playing is alien to me but we manage I think.
So, today I have to do:
[STRIKE]take dd to swimming lesson[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]go to the market for fresh fruit & veg[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]go to the butchers for this weeks meat[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]pay various bills and buy nappies while in town[/STRIKE]
clean downstairs cloakroom
scrub kitchen floor (this usually takes a good 2 hours as this room is most of the downstairs space and includes moving furniture)
[STRIKE]wash coats ready for school/work on monday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]empty[/STRIKE] and refill DW
Put BM on
Have just had a quick look around and am quite depressed by the general mess going on but I guess that's what happens when lo's and dh are around alot! At least I don't have Pigpens dust problem! Well Done for not just taking a very long walk........."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
[STRIKE]Dailies - mostly done for today, rest will do tomorrow[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put dry clothes away[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put laundry into WM[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put laudry out to dry[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Change and wash bedding - Saturday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put bedding out to dry[/STRIKE]
Off for a large coffee first, then onto the next:-
Inventory fridge, freezer and food cupboard - Saturday
Compile weekly meal plan - Saturday/Sunday
Book Tesco delivery - Sunday
Cook Sunday roast! (We got pork) - Sunday
Nightlies
