Hiya punky I've been thinking about you today and wondering how you were getting on, glad you had a good day flower :kisses3:
pigpen :rotfl: why do you think I don't live with my OH? For exactly that reason, he was/is a nightmare, I got sick of living on a building site - literally- there was hardly any walls left in my old house and the brick dust lingered for months, infact he's that lazy it's still there and it's 3 yrs later, likes making a mess but doesn't clean it up *tuts* men :rolleyes:0 -
Hello all :hello:
I finally got a quick chance to get on this computer!! Teenage DD off school, mid term and been hogging the computer. We have been out today as a family so not much flying today. I did manage to hoover and clean the kitchen before we went out, so coming back was nice, at least the house was tidy. Will make kids help me do their rooms tomorrow.0 -
Hi everyone,
day off today! This morning I took DD and friend to the Cathedral so they could do some sketching for their GCSE art exam, and while they were [STRIKE][pretending /STRIKE] being serious artists, I had fun bargain hunting in Boots, and treated myself to a coffee as well (usually prefer to go home rather than waste the money!). Then we treated ourselves to a family lunch out, as had saved newspaper tokens. Rather nice restaurant, but the drinks were so dear! £3 for a cup of coffee or tea:eek:
Hoovered all the rooms upstairs and down yesterday, reluctantly put some things in my lovely empty cupboard under the stairs (got fed up with the shoe boxes in the kitchen, and coats all up the stairs!) and washed master bedroom bedlinen. I'll do the children's bed linen tomorrow. They've really been pretty good over halfterm, and haven't made much mess.
Just need to do the washing up, and make our bed up, then I'm going to catch up with some paperwork(reading a magazine counts, right?!;) )It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
:hello:
well kitchen and front room are all finished now, my mum came round earlier and said the front room looks much better the way i have put the furniture, i could see she was impressed with how clean it is, tht was nice

TNG... your house is NOTHING compared to mine!!
I have had all the children home all week.. AND his lordship has demolished a wall this weekend.. honestly it is horrendous.. there is dust everywhere, soot everywhere gravelly bits of 100 year old lime mortar everywhere.. it is just uninhabitable at the moment!
And if one more person whines 'mummy' today I swear I will remove their tongues from their head!
On a brighter note.. the stairs are vacuumed AGAIN.. and the landing.. and the first bit of the front room.. as far as the cable plugged in upstairs would reach.
the little 2 are bathed after the littlest spread poo all over herself and her bedroom doorway!! the sink is shiny.. bleached it so they could be bathed in it as the bathroom is unusable much to DD2's delight!
Oh.. I wrecked the mattress cover for the cot in the dryer so I rescued the zip and will have to make a replacement cover.. I am such a twerp at times!
My SIL & I are still arguing over bridesmaid dresses for me.. I hate what she likes and vice versa. I've chosen my shoes though! AND got a beautiful dress for the evening do.
I've been really mean and made the oldest children pick up every toy downstairs and clear the floor in the backroom.. they had tipped odd socks everywhere.
Roll on Monday when they are back at school and HE is back at work and my house is relatively normal (bar the plumber and the plasterer who are moving in for the week!!)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

pigpen - I think you do great:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
We have half term this week.. IN the rubble and the dust and the muck and next week we are ahving a second loo fitted and the bathroom replastered and the electrician moving light switches and plug sockets and earthing the hovel.. (in the cupboard under the stairs!) AND.. after the bathroom is all pretty.. muggins here gets to decorate it!!! AND redecorate the boys room which is the other side of the new wall and also being replastered.
I also get to make endless tea and coffee.. and HM biscuits.
I may just go out!! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
HT next week here too, am dreading it in a way as getting things doen round them is tricky, but I do prefer no morning stress, but go by the usual rule of if Pigpen can do it with 8 surely I can manage with 2! (and occasionally more with neice, nephew etc)
Well the laundry isn't away as when I was up there the boys just played up so it was lights off and sleep time, and I can't put it away in the dark, so I'll do it tomorrow. Made a start on the desk but it's not finished yet, paperwork mountain againshouldn't have let it get this bad!
Weekend list hasn't been posted yet, but Moggins is poorly bless her, so if no list will follow the weekend usualshope everythings ok Moggins
One day I might be more organised...........
