    Hiya everyone
Pigpen - hope the eczema is a bit better, it's soooo annoying! I get mine on my fingers, wrists and upper arms and it drives me crazy! I'm trying to remember to use the doublebase cream from doctor religiously on me and my son. If I forget one day we both flare up. I'm guessing we must both be reacting to the washing powder that we've always been fine with. Any suggestions to a washing powder that's kinder on skin anyone????

    Anyway, i'll stop waffling!

    Jobs to do today:
    1) Wash our bedding (I like to do the beds at the weekend as then DH makes them again - he's away in week so can't)
    2) Dry bedding outside though it'll probably have to go on clothes dryer when it comes in.
    3) Vacuum all downstairs
    4) Tidy up conservatory so we can use it again now weather a bit nicer.
    5) Rest of current chapter into notes for course which leaves me one more chapter before I finish tma.
    6) 27 boogie fling thing.
    7) Get all PE kits, school uniforms, bags ready for tomorrow.

Rest of family have gone up to the allotment so i'll go and do some studying whilst the house is quiet.

Hope you're all ok and Moggins is feeling better xx

Ecover washing powder is good for sensitives, Surcare do one too, best advice is stick to one brand, your skin will react even to the mild ones if keep changing it.

    Afternoon all :hello:

Another pre-school Sunday  I've been chasing DD to do her homework since midday and its still not finished.

    So far today :
    • Hair washed & bathed :D:j
    • Beds stripped (DD did hers for me again :j )
    • Masterbedding washed & on washing line
    • WM - Darks done and on hangers (no room on washing line), lights in now on a long wash for still stained from snowball fight uniforms
    • Dinner in my new slowcooker :D Only a reheated casserole thing I found in the freezer, but if I can figure out how to do this I might just put something from scratch in there for tomorrows tea ;)
    • Cherries out to defrost ready for making Cherry Sorbet in our ice-cream maker.
I'm about to start ebaying again. 4 things are currently listed and I'm working on a whole pile of stuff to be listed on Tuesday (contained within 6 crisp boxes, 1 large suitcase & a large rucksack!)...this may take some time  Unfortunately there are quite a few bits I don't think will sell, but I can but try

Cleaning can wait until tomorrow when we're back to our normal routine. Well I hope we will be, DD isn't feeling too good again

Good news though is that when I got on the dreaded scales this morning I've managed to loose at LEAST 6lbs since New Year WITHOUT trying this is a miracle. Must be all the walking, having a pedometer is really helping. I'm hoping to get my activity levels up to 15,000 steps a day which works out about 1900 calories ;) Teamed with a simpler (ie. mainly from Aldi) based diet I'm hoping to get down to 14.11 by June 3rd (currently 15.11 :o ).

Right, need to get on with the listings and stop procrasting :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Hope you're feeling a little better Moggins
LJD1 - my FIL uses Surcare as his skin is very sensitive - seems to work for him.
nicki - Well done on the weight loss, which I could do it!:T
lil-me - could you wash the dog and the car at the same time!:D
    Reformed - welcome!

I wish I could say I've been busy but I've really not done alot today:

-Emptied and started to refill DW
-Took and stayed with dd while at Sunday School
    -Hoovered downstairs
-Started tidying the garden - didn't get very far as found a shrub that had died which took a bit a getting out which meant I ended up moving stuff around to cover the large space  then friends arrived so gave up
-Have prepared roast and pud for later - there always seems to be folk sitting on my kitchen sofa on a Sunday so while I prepare dinner there's someone to chat to, quite nice really

Nothing to wash today so that makes a welcome change. I hope you all have a chance to relax today and I'll be back later full of motivation for next weeks list!!

    Right,

    I am pooped!!!
Finished ALL the washing... my dining table is now completely covered with piles of clothing that the children need to bring up stairs. (and I have a HUGE table, it will seat 12!)

ALL the ironing is done! WHOOHOOO!!!

I got DH to finally finish the kitchen! (it's been in there a year!!) It was just that final touch that needed doing... the edge between the tiles and the worksurface needed to be closed. (don't know how to say that in English but he just needed to squirt some of that white sticky stuff in it to seal it.)

Sooo he did that... fixed the tap that was leaking (also been doing that for a year) AND finally put the piece of half moon alluminium protector on the step. (we have quite a big step from kitchen up to the living room.)

Phew!! he's been meaning to do all that since we built this kitchen in last year! Now it's finally done.

The kids are driving me NUTS! and half term hasn't even started yet!! It's still only sunday!! Somebody, help??
They can't seem to think of anything else to do but sit behind the computer, watch tv, or scream and yell at each other. And since tv and computer times are all used up for the day... there's only one thing left to do..

I wish I could, for all he'll jump in any river/stream he legs it if I point a hose at him :rotfl: I did tie him to a post once to do it, but he howled like a baby  then have to get him back in the house without him getting muddy! Puppy stinks a bit but they were both rolling in something, I have no idea what it was, just looked like grass/hay but it smelt a bit icky! Told DP he's bathing the big one tonight, I'm going to go and get soaked bathing puppy now! I'm not going out for the rest of the evening so going to bath her (clean bath afterwards) then me, then the boys and get into PJs :D Oh best get washing in first so I don't have to run outside in my PJs again :o !

Becca it's just sealant in english :) or the bits that men usually forget if it's anything like my house! And know how you feel, my 2 have started world war 3 aswell so hence early bath time!

    - welcome, reformed, i live in a smallish flat too and i find flying makes a real difference as it gets messy so quickly even with only me (OH at weekends too).

this'll make you all :D smile: today we were playing yahtzee and i tickled OH so the dice flew everywhere, we lost one completely, pulled the sofa out and everything (need to hoover under and behind there, dusty again!!!) i eventually found it....IN MY BRA!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

on a different note, in church this morning i asked if anyone felt they could help to fund a girl to go to brownie camp who couldn't afford it (only £25) people kept putting money in my hand on the way out when i counted it there was £149!!! really restores your faith in humanity!!!

Thanks for the advice about washing powder. I'll go and get some tomorrow and with any luck the itching will stop. It got a lot worse when I swapped to the tesco's own brand of powder which probably wasn't very clever but I was desperate to save money. Never again!

I've finished my list of today's things to do including the studying so i'm going to make a start on the next chapter. I'll aim for ten pages leaving me about 30 for tomorrow and see how that goes.

Apart from that I feel i've done enough so i'm going to look forward to doing nothing this evening.

Lil-me, talking of dogs, my hubby is home from the allotment and i've not seen ours. I hope he's not left the poor thing up there! I'm off to check!

LJD1 instead of buying the cheaper one just use less of the one that doesn't make you itch. I only use a tablespoon of powder and same of soda crystals, vinegar is supposed to help get the cleaning stuff out of the clothes aswell which might help with the allergy if it removes the soap residues.

Decided couldn't cope with the smell any longer and hauled bth dogs in the bath, they both shook but they stank so much DS1 was extremely anxious and wouldn't walk in the sitting room. Used some garden rose smellies that are a bit old fashioned for me I got for Xmas and both dogs now have come up smelling of roses :rotfl:
