How do I get a € Euro bank account?
Comments

Here you are - with your notoriously poor SOH again.
Of course you aren't going because you don't have anything to answer.
And is copy&paste the best you can do?
The only what matters is- the account is free,
- incoming payments are free,
- there is no card,
- you can make "Currency cash withdrawals – by popping into your local Barclays branch in the UK".
What has sense of humour got to do with account or financial product features ? NOTHING funny enough
Of course there is nothing to answer, I posted the details DIRECT from Barclays webpage WHICH IRONICALLY backs up my points stated in a previous post and IS the BEST source, if you want to debate them details amd throw your toys out the pram 'copy & paste!, copy and paste!! (which for legal reasons quoting the whole page links to the source) call Barclays dont waste my time or the board users.

All info is the opinion of posters – it’s not our view. We have an amazing forum with a huge wealth of helpful info. Yet remember it's open to all, and sometimes messages are posted that are misleading or downright wrong. Most users are helpful but there are always a few bad apples. Don't rely on information being accurate or complete. If you do, it's at your own risk. Please do your own research before acting.
We can be liable for what you post. When you post something, not only are you liable for what you say, but we can become liable too as the host. So it's not a case of posting what you like, and we can delete posts if needed. Of course, our aim is to ensure legitimate information about saving money or fighting for consumer rights stays.

Please be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue. A Guardian article once "doffed its cap" to this forum as being the one place where consumers can collect together and fight back. And SOH isn't the only your problem. Apostrophes are another chronic one.

Nothing funny? I agree, but for some reason you are Rolling On The Floor Laughing
I said that HSBC looked good too, but you mentioned some "£1750 with HSBC" that have no idea what it was.

"but you mentioned some "£1750 with HSBC" correct! as again you dont know the details of the product but again willy nilly recommending it.

The comdirect is the best, call them they will send the application. Its a full euro account, the staff I spoke to were very fluent english, the accent was a bit hard at times but nowhere like a indian call centre with horrendous english
If you want UK based card spending Nationwide credit card or a account.

Stop misquoting me.
What I said was only that it looked good. This was after I had a brief look. Later I had a closer look and wasn't able to find anything about £1750, but possibly it was just me.Ill put a ! where I want Grumbler, who made you the mod/grammar police of MSE ? Nationwide £ current account is no good for both either. And all their £ current accounts charge 2% for spending in Europe. Only pay-for FlexPlus offers commission-free ATM withdrawals.0 -
Exactly, but others on these boards only like their own recommendations, not someone else's, I always provide choice with positives and negatives because I read about financial products in full.
My comdirect application is in the post for signing after a quick phone call to them. Easy peasy german squeezy
Will you be doing identity check online or PostIndent? I did PostIndent but only as I was in Germany at the time and Deutsche Post were a bit of a nightmare :rotfl: but Comdirect were amazing from start to finish.Which is better among all the euro accounts?
DKB.de is no longer open to non-residents unless you're German or of German descent and even then in the UK, it's now impossible.
UK Euro accounts are dreadful, you need to pay for SEPA in some cases which is crazy. Stick to Germany.0 -
Grumbles, you must realise you're wasting your time - just use the Ignore List, I have over a dozen dolts on there now, it's wonderful.....The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

I quite like them, not fond of the recent changes regarding 'Ratenkredit' only being for German residents as it has scuppered my chances of low interest payments on my new car although a recent default I just got will have ruined it anyway but c'est la vie.

Comdirect.de is by far the best, you can open with 0€ although it's best to deposit at least 1€. The application is a simple case of filling out the PDF, signing it, sending it off and then submitting ID when asked (I did mine in Germany as I happened to be there when I got the form asking). Benefits include but not limited to; free SEPA transfers, credit lines (8.75%), free ATM withdrawals and zero fees.

Online identity for me I guess. Or send ID copies with application.
I have not had a Euro account since IT but they are great to have, cover all bases - Nationwide free transactions abroad on credit card, Metro Bank next time in London (online instant access account already done), Aqua credit card, all free EU or worldwide with no transaction fees and the best deal defo seems to be comdirect for easy € managementSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
