How do I get a € Euro bank account?

Online identity for me I guess. Or send ID copies with application.
I have not had a Euro account since IT but they are great to have, cover all bases - Nationwide free transactions abroad on credit card, Metro Bank next time in London (online instant access account already done), Aqua credit card, all free EU or worldwide with no transaction fees and the best deal defo seems to be comdirect for easy € management
Not bad at all. In all honesty though, if you can get an account with them Hilton HHonors have a good card in Germany that is FX free in the UK (or was when I took it out) you pay 48€pa now though. Still worth it for the rewards I'd say.0 -
You'll be sent a list with the various forms of ID they'll need, they don't let you send in anything that isn't notarised which costs a lot so hopefully they'll let you do PostIndent or online ID which apparently is just putting passport and various proofs up to the webcam after a chat.

Oh nice, SLZ you are a source of great G€rman info, a great addition to the board you makeSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Did I?
Stop misquoting it.
What I said was only that it looked good. This was after I had a brief look. Later I had a closer look and wasn't able to find anything about £1750, but possibly it was just me.Feel free to report me if I have broken any.
Credit card is no good for receiving payments in € or keeping euros - that are the main reasons why most people want a € account. And it's Select credit card, not juct 'credit card' that doesn't charge for conversion.
Nationwide £ current account is no good for both either. And all their £ current accounts charge 2% for spending in Europe. Only pay-for FlexPlus offers commission-free ATM withdrawals.
"stop misquoting" then "but possibly it was just me"
Contradictory...
Just like Barclays...SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

(1) Yes, I said "HSBC looks good". Yes you misquoted me (not "it" that was an obvious typo as it was preceded by "Did I?") by saying that I recommended it.
(2) Yes, I can't find anything about £1750 at HSBC website and, possibly, it's just me.
There is no any logical connection between (1) and (2) and hence no contradiction except in your convoluted mind.
While we are here, what exactly was "contradictory" about Barclays?0 -
Anyone have any other ideas, surely Santander do a Euro account even if for higher earners it is a Eurozone bank, I'm sure TSB will catch up given its been short term Spanish owned.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... I'm not a good source for defaults on German (or indeed €) debts though, that is a new one that I'm going through right now and has effectively screwed my future credit for the next 3 years but hey what can you do :rotfl:0 -
I don't trust comdirect. I am not gonna deposit them 200k. I trust Barclays and HSBC more.
I have Barclays euro account, is there a reason I would switch to HSBC?0 -
Santander Jersey has no monthly fee on their Gold Account, card payments are debited once a month but given interest is nil due to Euro
thats not a benefit.
You need €7500 initially to open, might be handy for some but not the majority
