I do not think you understand why the people want to open a Euro account. People might have a different need then your need. But if THOMAS Exchange meets your need then continue using it. It is your money you are exchanging anyway.

Almost all currency exchange service (if not all) will be able to convert back from EUR to £. But If you travel to Euro zone a few times in a year converting from £ to EUR and then converting it back again to £ is really a bad idea as you will be paying the conversion fee twice. In this case it might be better to keep it for your next trip. Also there might be minimum fee which might be quite significant to the amount to be converted if you are just converting a small amount of EUR back to £.

Keep in mind the exchange rate of THOMAS Exchange is not as good as the specialist travel CC and/or DC. Using the specilist CC/DC, you will avoid the need to convert it back to £ as you could just withdraw the cash you need on that day. You could even withdaw a few times in a day if neccessary and no fee at all.
