Sigh.....
You sound quite sensible to me I don't think any park ranger would be looking to ban you.
Although I would be in the right I am fully aware that I would risk being banned because of the aggressive reaction I would give, but I don't care about anything other than my dogs welfare.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
I know exactly what you are saying still...
Part of my dog's welfare is being able to enjoy the park/woods as she did so far so denying her that becauise some stupid woman wants to "report" me is not really a solution.
No idea what are the chances of ever meeting her again, it was today just before 2pm, got to remeber day (Wed) and time.. and avoid... grrrr0 -

Can you call them and relay the conversation. Isn't the accent thing a race crime?
In any case, I am so relieved to have the opposite thing now, my social but chase driven sight hounds and I have somewhere to walk where there is almost always someone to play with. My dogs have learnt not to approach dogs on leads...the get about twenty metres away, see the lead and stand there looking a littl ecrest fallen, I call, they come straight back.
Peor with dogs on leads seen the accepted code for having non social dogs, and the rest lay together in a harrum scarrum mix......heaven for social dogs. My one gripe is it is a reall boring place to walk, but it's level for me, good for the dogs...you can't have everything.0 -

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
Our dog is quite boisterious with other dogs (he's like a kangaroo sometimes if one gets near), but he is never taken off the lead on our regular walk because I know that with him being a hound, he is quite heavy set, and he could do some damage just by running into people. I'm always a bit worried when a child comes up to fuss him because he does get rather over excited with kids and is a bit bouncy. Where we go is has lots of exits so if I let him off, and he gets a scent, that's it, so on he stays.
It's the ones that allow their dogs to run at him that are a huge problem, because sometimes my dog is rather protective of me and is always unsure and wary of any loose dog running up. I do get the "he'll not hurt/wants to play" etc. A few weeks ago, someone had a dog running loose that had run up and my dog (after sussing the other dog out) decided that it was playtime and both were bouncing around better than Tigger.
Because I was holding the lead trying to drag mine away, I ended up with pulled muscles in my shoulders. The owner of the other dog was busy talking to some people about 100 yards away from us, completely oblivious. I ended up shouting "come get your f'kn dog" and all he did was shout it, and it was also deaf to him. It took him over 5 mins to grab it, and he was then trying to be really chatty while I was in agony. I never got an apology, just a "why not let your dog off?" comment. He got an angry "why not get your dog on?" and eventually I managed to drag mine away. Still in a bit of discomfort now, but I'm more angry than people don't realise that other dog walkers don't like their dogs running up. We don't know what the strange dogs temperment is like :mad:BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

Yup, Zara is the itties foster mum, that is the one.
Of course I do not mind people asking - just that woman upset me a lot today and I am still thinking about that and hope to never meet her again.
As I said, my dog was sitting by me and I was holding her by the collar BUT I said to the other dog with owner being able to hear (on purpose) something to the tune "If you dont stoop gropling at ara she will eat you" and trying to shush the dog away from us.... grrrr0 -
My neighbours are Polish and speak better English than I do! If it's any consolation MY accent has been slagged off a few times...and I'm a Scouser...!0
