Did anyone else think that £29 rooms were fixed?
All of a sudden all rooms turned to purple.
A bit annoying, but i had no problems like that the last time.
HTML didn't work for me, kept giving me an error about calling the hotel.0 -
All £1 rooms went waay before 5:30.0

I had the same problem last time, but I went for £29 pound room and got one this time ...0

Wow! After 20 minutes of trying I eventually managed to get a £1 room around 5:20. Just as I'd given up hope..... :-)
I'm sure I'd already tried the same date and been told that no rooms were available.
No confirmation email as yet. I'm sure their systems will catch up eventually...0 -
Did anyone see that if you cancel you don't get any money back!! Looks like I got completely done over at £59!!0

Isn't this just one huge con?
I was on their website since 4.30pm poised to get a £1 room for at least one night. For a start, the sale seemed to start before the advertised time of 5pm. Furthermore, when I did manage to see a £1 room available, I completed all of the reservation details only to be told that due to an error, they couldn't transmit the reservation (how convenient).
This is just one huge marketing stunt with no intention of selling rooms for £1..at least it gets people going to their website and fools us into thinking that getting a room for £29 or above is a good deal when you could have got it for a pound.
Anyway..nevermind..I guess it's just one of those things. I will be checking my bank statement closely to ensure they don't use my card details though.0 -

I just find it terrible that people post nasty comments over a cheap hotel room and saying it's a con.
There are some gracious people on here that are happy that others got them and that's the way it should be
I never got one this time, but I am not shouting about conspiracy and fix !!!****************************0 -
I am sure that their website and phone network will have been hit by such huge demand (DoS) which explains why people could not connect and were having problems.
Well done to anyone who got a room. Their rates at £59 and £79 seem very reasonable for a edge of City hotel.
I can't believe that people are getting @rsey about this. :eek:0
