Hi Lenny,
Picnic sounds lovely..... can't beat eating outside.
I'll pop round and say hi to your mate shall I? How do you know someone this far south?
Waitrose is a lovely shop but I avoid it as it's not very DFW!! :rotfl:

Aaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh
Sorry - annoyed with myself!! I almost bought a new mobile phone at lunchtime, I even went to BS to withdraw the £80!!
But I went back to get it, stopped and thought to myself, do I really "need" it? Answer was of course, no. I already have a phone, ok it's knackered and looks dreadful but it still works.
So I'm pleased I didn't buy it but annoyed I almost did "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Ooh nearing 500 posts!! lol
Anyway,.... I'm about to get into more debt, well not really but not going to be easy. I've decided come end of Sept when our tenancy runs out, DD and I are going to rent a place of our own. Been chatting with BF and whilst we're not ready to move in together, we'd like to spend more time together, ie him staying over on a w/end. At the moment neither of us feels comfortable doing that here, I hate even kissing/cuddling in front of my Mum!!! :rotfl:
So I feel this is the right thing to do, I think I'll be ok money wise, it will be a struggle but I reckon I can do it. I've worked out a provisional SOA, if anyone would care to take a look, and see if I've missed anything off it I'd be grateful.
Just gotta tell Mum now... think she'll be ok as we had a bit of a chat the other night, she said she may move in with her parents to help them out or try to buy her own shared ownership place, but she's wrong side of 50 so she has concerns but I'm encouraging her to look into it as I'd like her to get her own place. I'd feel guilty about it otherwise, but I'm almost 33, I want some independence again (and time with BF alone!).
Here's my proposed SOA
Income
Wages £644.00
CT & WT Credit £692.00
CB £ 72.00
H/benefit £399.00
Total = £1807
Outgoings
Rent £650.00
Gas £ 20.00
Elec £ 20.00
Water £ 10.00
Car ins £ 19.00
Nursery £426.00
Petrol £ 60.00
Contact Lens £8.00
Phone £15.00
Council Tax £90.00
House Ins £10.00
Tv Lic £12.00
Comet £22.00
Council £10.00
Savings £50.00
Car Service/MOT £20.00
Xmas/Bdays £30.00
Food £100.00
Debt £100.00
Leaves £135 pm (which can go towards debt at the end of the month)
Eek - didn't come out too well.... I used IA's fab spreadsheet and c&p. I've estimated gas/elec/water etc, it may be more. Also, I've done an online check thro my local council for H/benefit and it said approx £92pw, the above figure is a monthly amount.
I've allowed £50 savings to build up an emergency fund.
 It's a scary but exciting thought..... I'll update with any news as and when....

Hi Tigz :T
Looks okay to me, you seem to have everything covered. What about furnishing the place initially. You will have to freecycle for things.
It will be good to have your independance though..
Do you already get help with childcare from work or anything like that.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

How exciting Tig
Are you basing the rent on the average for your area?
Have you taken 25% off for CT as you will be the only adult?
It sure does sound do-able.

Thanks Sammy,
We're in an unfurnished place at the mo, so I have most things I can take. ie, my bed, bedroom furniture, DD's cot and furniture, TV & DVD player. We have 2 x 2 seater sofas I could prob have if Mum rents either a studio or goes to her parents. I don't think I'll need many things, hope to get a place with white goods in so I don't need to get them, but again we have a fridge/freezer I could have.
Work don't help with childcare, but I get 80% of it paid through WTC.

Hi TigTag (love the name BTW)
Yep I've looked at 2 bed houses and that's the amount they seem to go for. The council however have said the max they'd allow for HB purposes is £600pcm. I really would like a house so DD can play in the garden.
Again with CT I've taken our CT as we're in band B and can't see a 2 bed being more than that and deducted 25%. On paper it seems ok so I hope reality is the same.
