Great idea for a challenge Marg- sorry to hear op was delayed.
I'm avoiding both flitting and any crafty investing. I'm back onto a stash ban. Have got to get back to better spending habits!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

It's me again -like the proverbial bad penny.
Does anyone have anything on a Beatrix Potter theme that is not hideously cutesy? My sister has decided that Christening gifts need to be on that theme and the Christening is only two weeks away. Any ideas for card or present?0 -

Hi everyone, sorry for butting into your thread but I have a couple of questions if that's ok?
I've recently started card making and was just wondering what you use to stick things with? Which glue suits which materials etc? I already have a mini glue gun from making button pictures, some glue dots and the usual pva and pritt stick in the kid's craft box. Anything else i need?
Also I plan to crochet some of my card toppers (tiny hearts, stars and flowers) and I'm not sure which is the best thing to stick them to the card with?Does fabric glue stick to card or just fabric to fabric (sorry to be dense!)
Any help gratefully received, can i just say all your cards look fabulous!
Thanks

Hi DTB - For the card, have you tried googling some images - and seeing if there is anything suitable that can be used to make a card?
Well done on winning the challenge Marg - I will try to come up with a card for it - my favourite film/books is the Confession of a Shopaholic, so just need to find an image.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
lillmisskitkat: I use double sided tape to stick paper and card to each other so that the card doesn't get soggy. To stick bows, flowers, gems etc to the card I use Hi-tack all purpose glue, it dries clear and quite fast. I even use it to stick small buttons down.
Hope that helps0 -
I hope this works.
It will either inspire or go down like a lead balloon.
For the next challenge I'd like to see a card or item inspired by a favourite book or film of your choice. The link can be as tenuous as you like. (Can you tell I listen to Chris Evans breakfast show?)
Ooohhh Marg, my card for your challenge is on my blob, one of my all time fave book characters is Teddy Robinson and my card features Teddy Bo, hope that link is adequateMany congratulations on winning the challenge x
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Padster - hope you sorted out the sols -if they phoned back. I don't want to make the challenge difficult honest
but all I can think of for yours is a big black bomb.......
DTB - Good to see you here - not a bad penny! I thought I had some Peter Rabbit cardboard toppers but think they must have gone to the charity shop - SORRY! As for presents, I tend to be very obvious at Christenings & get a Bible but I like the book ends or do Wedgwood do mugs & bowls - but then maybe they're too cutesy.
LilmisskitKat - Welcome! I use tiny amounts of Anita's Tacky glue for nearly everything.
Flourgirl, Jellie & CT -:wave::wave: Good to see you here too. x
rainmac - thank you for being my first entry - the link can be as tenuous as you like - I'm blog hopping later will check it out x0 -
Sols did phone back other side has now dug up a few other bits that they want sorted - think they're trying to earn an extortionate fee - am getting really bored with it now and it peed down with rain AGAIN! so I only got to look in the garage and not do anything although I did manage to get the front garden weeded - hopefully they won't grow back in the next fortnight
I can now double crochet and am well chuffed with myself am gonna try rounds tomorrow if I can actually sit still.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
