Damn Lidl and their lovely ribbon! lol! I went in for a bargain but I'm not sure buying 6 rolls counts as a bargain :rotfl:
Have just posted up this weeks DT project on my blobbit if anyone is interested - it's a great challenge this week which saw me go crazy with the glitter glue lol!!
Also just popped a whole load of pics up on my FB page as I've been going through my Making Cards magazines and using the free papers & toppers they include
I love the step by step tutorials they give you for the different cards you can make with the bits they provide
Of course I did have to tweak a couple of bits - didn't have any yellow spotty ribbon  :rotfl: 0 -
Evening everyone

Been making some cards today but how I managed I will never know considering I cannot see my desk!! Think my OH is gonna go mad soon as I've had an overflow table in the living room for the past week!! Anyways just a quick hello to you all and hope everyone is well as I haven't managed to catch up as usual
hugs to all who need them just now (((hugs)))

:hello::hello::hello: Everyone
Did anyone see that Craft Dragon Machine on C & C yesterday. Tres expensive but a brilliant machine if you're into bulk weddings etc. It did hot foiling, diamontes on clothes and precision stamping which for me was the most interesting but at over £300 squids!! Ouch! Worth a watch if they have a video uploaded.
Have a good day everyone.

I went and had a wee look. I'm not that impressed for the price I have to say, seems high
Speaking of things with high pricetags...!
I got a tax rebate today, and although the sensible person hiding inside me thinks I should save it, the crafter in me is thinking about a new machine. I quite like the idea of an electronic cutter, but having had a wee google there appears to be loads
I like the idea of the Cricut machines, but there are loads of them ranging from a Mini for around £120 to an Expression for £350+:eek:
Does anyone have one of these, are they worth it and what's the best one to buy?!
Thanks

Flyin, I've got the little Green Cricut which I use mainly for cutting letters and cupcake wrappers ( I do lots of them!!) and fancy flourishes. I like mine but I have to admit that I do buy the cartridges for it from the US from ebay where they are half the price of what you would pay over here. I won't pay more than £20-25 inc postage for a cartridge but the seller has thousands to choose from. I'm not keen on the animal or Disney cartridges only 'cos they're just not what I would make. Provocraft are good in that if you have a Gypsy too you can down load a freebie cartridge now and again. I got mine from C & C because they are registered with Provocraft as a main dealer and often have recon machines too. Ok, you may find one cheaper but do they have the back up of a large company.
I had one of the ones that are run from a computer but I just couldn't get on with it but I'm sure it's flourgirl who has one of those.
Hi cg! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
I like the idea of it for lettering/personalising things/flourishes, but don't know if it's an awful lot of money to pay for something that lets face it I won't use every day.
I'm going to the SECC in a couple of weeks (WOOO!), do you think that there will be stalls selling them that would have demos? Youtube is all well and good, but I can't cope with some of the "perkier" demonstrators
