    afternoon all
just came back from Lidl, bought some great gift ribbon ,which should be ideal for card making,it cost £1.99 for 3 metres,I bought it cos it looked so pretty, but when I opened it ,I realized that you could with a little effort, part the ribbons and actually get 9 metres from this roll.
You would get one length of 1/2 inch organza
one length of satin ribbon with tiny wooden butterflies attched [they could be removed to make pretty embellishments]
and one length of irridesent cord with tiny pearls attached at interval

I only bought the cream ,because it had tiny wooden butterflies on,the others had wooden flowers, wish I had bought more rolls now.
They had loads of different pastel shades
Guess where I.ll be going to in the morning?

Oooh! I need to get me to Lidl!!!

I'd like to thank you lovely people on here who sent me such beautiful hand made cards, you are all amazing.

Being taken to work today by OH as the wages need to be done and I want to get paid too. Apparently, there was a huge sigh of relief when my co-workers heard that I was coming, I keep telling 'em that I come first and I just drag them along behind me :D
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

Hello - thank you for all your kind thoughts - I am fine really, just that life seems to be throwing me & dh all the carp at once and it feels overwhelming & like wading thro' treacle.

I'm another loving seeing cards on here also little freebie owls (thanks Padster) and ribbon suggestions. I haven't actually bought anything for ages but have my eye on some first edition papers when I can forsee I'll use it but no crafting happening here.

Rainmac - glad to read you have had a good half term to gear you up for the return to the fray. What on earth did a child do that is going to leave a scar:eek: Love the male card ideas x
Wifey - I know too well the pressure of having to do wages - hope there are no complications and you enjoy your "day out".
It's always the VAT that gets me..........

Now don't all fall off your chairs but I've just posted my card for the challenge on my you know what! Apologies but I've got a long sticky post you'll have to scroll past!

I hope you're all enjoying half term - I work for most of it and the boys go in a holiday club so today is my one holiday day with them. We're out for lunch in a minute and then off to an outfoor play area to blow away some of the cobwebs!

Had a nose at your card artydoll, it's gorgeous! Will comment on your blog too :)

I missed Lidl by like 5 minutes grr! Will have to go tomorrow - we're supposed to be getting up early to go to a carboot sale but we'll see lol! The OH is very good at saying these things but not so good at the actual getting up early bit :rotfl:

Been making lots of cards today, even managed to put the actual blood into the saying "blood, sweat and tears" Went to smooth down the fold on one card and gave myself a MASSIVE papercut! It was like I'd taken a knife to my finger
However most pleased as I managed not to get any blood on my card :rotfl:
