Same as above, Good Luck Carmilla, fingers crossed.

Well I'm back, can't sleep, in pain :( always thought I had a good pain threshold and now I don't know how I will cope with actual labour. Been having these pains since 1 o clock last night and I know it's probably doing nothing, it sucks :(

On another note, I have some blood today, taking that as a better sign.

very good advice you should come out of lurkdom more often
wish i had done yout sisters top tip from the start ! xx

Sorry - Lurking is such a habit have been following this thread for ages and have found it very useful. A bit about me.....

Am due on feb 17th (boy, 1st child) and am finally off work (annual leave before maternity). Just about managed to get over the feeling that I'm skiving off work and am trying to get the house looking sparkly and tidy which is harder than anticipated as I find myself drawn to the sofa a lot!

My sister had her first baby as well on christmas eve so I'm getting the stories to look forward to. Plan for today is to finish up the crochet and sewing for her little boy and then I can start the stuff for mine :-) Used to be able to crochet away in the evenings but have been more zombified since getting pregnant so haven't managed to make half the stuff I wanted to yet.

(oh for those that knit/crochet if you don't know about ravelry then sign up - its free and tonnes of free patterns available)

regarding weight I'm the same weight now that I was at booking in (37 wks today) no idea how that has been managed at all as I def haven't been watching what I eat but definitely not as hungry over the past 8 months. I'm on the shared care for a high BMI and find it amusing that despite the extra appointments with consultant etc absolutely none of them have weighed me at any point apart from booking in.

Had the tour of warrington hospital the other day and that made me feel a bit better. Nice to see what the rooms and equipment etc look like.

Good luck to all that need it.

  • Ohhhhh Gilly, how exciting that your getting pains and think you've lost the plug. Fingers crossed this is it and your TENS machine arrives today.

serendisglair - no weight gain - how impressive.......jealous!!

Gilly - all these signs sound promising, the fact that your getting a few different signs hopefully means your baby will be here very very soon!! How exciting!! :D

Matalan have an offer on on Moses basket sheets, I think it's 2 packs for £5 (priced at £5 each anyway so basically buy one get one free!!) so that's 4 sheets for £5 as there is 2 in each pack which I thought was pretty good.
Also the same deal on blankets (2 for £5) but as the blankets ate £6 each you can save £7 and get the 2 blankets cheaper than 1 would be!!

I'm going to pop in to town this afternoon.
Hope everyone is ok. Still sending labour vibes to boldies and whoever else wants them!! :D

    Xxxx

    Yes please Gilly,

I have the time to do more than lurk now so why not :p

Welcome :j However...poo to u lol as i`m now moved down a space on the list :rotfl:

Lovecrafting, our neighbours have 4 girls and their poor hubby i do feel sorry for, altho i cant really see hormones being much worse than with 3 DDs in the house! And like u say at least they are all healthy. I`m sure u also get fed up with people making comment tho about having "another girl" They just presume u want a boy, and as i said, i wasnt bothered at all and actually a girl would have been easier i think! Just glad he is healthy in there :) (ask me again when they are teenagers what sex i would have prefered  ) x

Come on babies that are due this week, ur mummies want cuddles!! xx
    Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3, :D and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T
  • people keep saying that to me aswel, ohh its another girl, how dissapointing...erm no, given my medical history i am so happy to have a viable baby nevermind the sex.

I get this too as I have 2 boys so I'm "expected" to want a girl!! I don't mind either way, but emmylou I know what you mean about having another of the sane sex being easier sometimes I do think another boy would be alot easier (until they are older!!)

As we decided to stay team yellow everyone keeps asking if im carrying different, feel different, blah blah blah because they are so desperate to know!! Arghhhhhh it's so frustrating!!
    Xx
