Fluffnutter: Thinkwatching OBEM was what had got me worried about internal’s, I turned 24 lastweek so not far off the age for smears, apparently I'll be offered one after I've given birth,
Everyone says that you get to the point where you just don’tcare in labour, I still can’t imagine myself being there! Hoping baby comes soon as I shaved all my legs and tidied myself up 'down below' for the sweep and it was soo much effort in the bath trying to get to all my legs that I can't be bothered to do it again but as my hair seems to grow rapidly I wont last more then 3 or 4 days before I'll need to do it all again! :o
Nutella: Glad I inspired you! I am also having a girl, no idea how bigthough, bump has been measuring average, I do have a bigger head then averageeven now so hoping she doesn’t inherit!
Jediquigley: Maybe I should have bought that book, gettingquite nervous about labour now. In termsof baby books I have ‘what to expect the first year’ which is quite a lot toget through, the other one I have is Your BabyWeek By Week: The ultimate guide to caring for your new baby by DrCaroline Fertleman and Simone Cave which I’ve enjoyed looking through, takesyou week by week to 6 months I think
Spent this morning doing a big clean of the house, the ideais that I keep on top of it so that if the baby comes at any moment the houseis nice and tidy, this theory hasn’t worked as by the end of the day I have stuffeverywhere again! Doesnt help that we’vehad building work done and hubby has been painting the new lounge and hallwaythis morning, we were hoping to be back in the lounge before baby comes but don’tthink this is going to happen. Although afternearly 2 years of renovations I’m not too bothered!

Been 5 and half hours since sweep and ……………. Feeling nothing! looking online a lot of people say they had cramps straight after...

Thanks guys. Wondering what happens at the consultants my midwife said she thinks I will be on consultant led care so I'm hoping it means I will get extra scans. One Of the ladies who used to be on here called Toniq has sent me a Doppler so we've been listening to bubs which is great :)
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hannah, did you say your cervix was still closed? Normally if cervix isn't ripe for a sweep it won't really have an affect.

Gillyx: I'm sure midwife said it was quite closed, think you're right, let's just hope she comes of her own accord!

Thanks all for the welcome messages. Emsbet, thanks for adding me to the list :)

Triangle, yes it's my first baby - and they've predicted a weight of 9lbs 7oz! I know they can get these things wrong though, so I really hope they have - ouch!!

    Big hugs to Ikkle.

No problem :) it makes me feel useful ;)

9lbs 7oz! My grandma was a 12lber and that was in the 1930s! My sister's two were 7lbs and 6lbs 3oz so she's convinced I'm going to be the whose baby follows in my grandmother's footsteps!

    xx

Nutella - I had growth scans and the threat of induction because I was growing a 10lber. Even in labour the doctor was telling me what a big boy I was having, all 7lb 13 of him. Granted I was 11 days early but still.
