Miss_Money I went off all drinks when I had MS in first trimester and could only drink skimmed milk. I then found that if I got a full glass of crushed ice and put very weak squash over the top i could just about manage to drink that. Think our local Tesco had to order more bags in to keep me going! I'm fine with most drinks now (apart from squash, weirdly) but I have progressed to Scooby Doo ice pops! Just bought some lovely fruit ice lollies too - smoothie ones so will be having them tonight after a chips and cheese baguette. Yum!

    Hello all

Hannah, you have inspired me to stop lurking by convincing me that it's never too late to join in! I did post on the less than 12 weeks thread many months ago (Emsbet and a couple of other people might remember me from there), but then morphed into a lurker... Been reading every day since August! Oh well :o

I'm due on Monday  and we're having a not-so-little girl if the midwives are to be believed. No signs of anything happening yet, but having acupuncture on Tuesday and am booked in for a sweep on Wednesday, so fingers crossed.

    Hope everyone's having a good evening :)

hi, just an update about my scan,

had a bad dream last night that we turned up to the hospital at the wrong time and woke in a massive panic - thankfully i checked my appt card to find that we had got the time wrong  thought it was 10:30 and it was 9:30 ! thankfully we scrambled around in time to get the boys to school and shoot off to get there on time,

Which turned out to be pointless as we then sat in the waiting area for an hour, how they can get that far behind so early in the morning is beyond me but there was a woman complaining at 10:15 she hadnt gone in yet and had a 9am appt !

Anyway the scan was perfect, no signs of growth problems and the heart, kidneys etc seemed unaffected by the problem with the cord - confirmed we are team blue too :j

After the scan we sat back in the waiting area for another hour and half by which time we were both getting grumpy so I asked the receptionist how much longer she checked and said there were SEVEN people in front of us  why they offer appt times when they dont take you in order i dont know !

Finally 3 hours after we arrived I saw a consultant who agreed to 2 further growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks, and to be induced on my due date rather than letting me go over,

all in all a good day, just felt like an endurance test for most of it :rotfl:

hope all is well, will read back tomorrow

Great news Mishka, :) Bet your happy now.

Well....no blood results for me so it will be Tuesday now :( physio was a waste of time they didn't really give me any exercises or anything and I left in tears because they hurt me so much. Only positive about today is I got my first consultant appointment through and it's on the 14th of this month so quite quick considering my referral only went through last Wednesday!
