Wish this rain would go away, doesn't the weather know I have baby things to wash! We have borrowed a beautiful cast iron crib with drapes from a really good friend (looks a bit like this http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412602WZTML.jpg) and I really wanted to get the drapes out on the line today!

Another day, another phonecall to see whether anything is happening yet :eek: - yes I know I'm 39 weeks and it could be any day now, but it could also be another three weeks so back off! Heading out to a local mother and baby event to see more about what's available locally, groups etc, as our local family information service website is rubbish!

Labour vibes to the boldies and all that want them, hugs to all those experiencing aches and pains

Oh, and I agree with others re size/weight of baby, we have been told to expect a small baby but at my last appointment with another mw I was measuring right for my dates, it depends who measures I think!

Afternoon all,

Just thought I'd post a quick update as I had my 20 week scan this morning. Everything is looking healthy. I couldn't believe how much detail we could see - the sonographer was pointing out the four chambers of the heart, it was incredible really. And we found out that we are team blue. There really was no doubt about it, it was quite plain to see that he's a little boy!

It's a strange day today though. About half an hour before we were due to leave for the hospital we found out that sadly DH's brother-in-law passed away last night. He had cancer and we knew it was coming but didn't expect it quite so suddenly. So we've been experiencing a real mix of emotions today.

Ah thanks, yep the one of me on the bench is when I got married in 2009... the photographer got some really good shots even though the weather was not perfect!

Afternoon all. Still no signs of baby!

I ve unpacked and repacked my hospital bag and put in a prettier (but still comfy) coming home outfit. Any last minute recommendations for things to include in the bag for labour or after?

Im trying to keep myself busy with housework and last minute bits. Had a friend round for coffee earlier too so nice not to be on my own all day.

A very unhelpful friend text me earlier to tell me that sweeps arnt nice and that I should try to get the baby moving before Sunday - Erm hello I would if I could??!!! Its freaked me out a bit now though, has anyone had a sweep? Are they that bad?

I kind of thought that with everything else I am bound to experience soon that the sweep would be the least of my worries!

I guess none of it really matters as long as baby is well and healthy. Im so ready for those first mummy cuddles
