Oh yes, that girl last night on OBEM was so lovely - and she did so well.

What it does emphasise for me, and I'm sure for you, happy, is how important it is that you're birthing partner is really supportive - so not the annoying friend you have been talking about!

Perhaps she is trying to be funny, but there is a limit to that - especially in our hormonal state!!

    hahahahahahah :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Nah didn't actually feel the head/hair - imagine a golf ball stuck in a kitchen roll tube with clingfilm on the bottom and pushing the golf ball up - that is what i felt. With the thick head of hair like me and OH, we'd be in for a real shock if it was bold :)

I'm liking your advanced description. I might try and make one later Blue Peter stylie to have a feel at!!

Now where did I put my golf ball.......

Yes I am getting quite tired now
Yes it is a small bump isn't it?
No, not long to go now
Yes, I have heard that first baby's are often late
Yes the grandparents are looking forward to it

Amy enjoy your last day at work

talking of being a hermit....... Baby went mad kicking earlier when oh came home. Then realised it was because it was the first conversation I have had since i woke up. So plan for next week when oh back at work is to sing out of tune to lo and to read my book out loud so he knows i am here.

That was my idiots guide to sticking your fingers up your "foof" (in the phrase that happy and various others use, i still prefer "fairy", much more delicate, innocent and describes my angelic lady parts) to give baby a shake!!

Do you think it will be a best seller?!?

I never actually realised how selfish she was. It's all about her and it's like she wants the drama of it all as opposed to being a friend and support. I think i shall just say I couldn't get hold of her and completely bypass her 'support'.

How amazing/strange that you can feel baby, wonder if I stuck my finger up I would feel some feet or a bottom :rotfl:

I have a pre-op 2 days before so they might check then but they will definately check on the day.

So annoyed, was looking forward to a nice quiet last week at work next week - apart from a project meeting but now have to help out with invoice - and lots of it!! Darn it!!!!!
  • Just saw this - I bought a load of totbots, first size off ebay but could do with a couple more (apparently will need 24  and only have 15), or some in the second size. Which Tesco did you get them from, if you don't mind me asking? Was it an Extra?

They were in Tesco Extra, Sunbury (SW London). I don't know if they're in all stores.

Oh, and I read somewhere that it's not a good idea to rely 100% on re-usables, and that when out and about, sometimes it's easier (and less hassle) to have disposables to throw away when changing out and about). With 15 then that's one full day of wear, and then wash and dry overnight, with a few spares for the morning in case they're not dry... We'll probably have 10 in total, if I'm lucky, and then use them in conjunction with disposables when out/about, in a hurry, or they don't dry in time.

Oh, and my wife's currently got a lovely bout of durch today, so she's attacking the dioralyte. Fortunately it's ok for pregnancy!
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
