Hi all, don't get much chance to post but have just been catching up an it seems like your all keeping sane!?!
I'm off work today cus have a massive headache for the second day running an my job means I have to be happy smiley helpful to customers at all time an it's just exhausting with a bad head! (no I don't work at a holiday camp I'm a travel agent lol!)
Just on the cramp front tho I was getting it most nights some times worse than others an my midwife suggested eating bananas which has really helped me!
XxIs now Mrs H after marrying my amazing husband :j
Expecting our first bump to hatch 29th may 2012 :j0 -

Oh dear MrsH. Sorry to hear you are having a bad time. I can imagine it is exhausting when all you feel like doing is lying in a darkened room.
I've never tried bananas but the smell of them really knocks me queasy so I'll stick with the tonic water. Wonder if it cos of the potassium in them?DS1 born June 2000

For the record, I do NOT mean tubi grip, and I know that sleeping in them is not a good idea...
The actual name is thera-band, imagine a snake crossed with an elastic band. You hold each end in each hand, keep your elbows bent and hold them there. Stand on the bottom of the curve of the band, and bend/straighten/bend/straighten your leg. Cures the pain, stops the cramp, and fixes my dodgy joints!
*stands back and watches as you all google thera-band* :THaving fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

Has your wife tried tonic water?DS1 born June 2000

Officially - 13th of June. Won't be left to go until then, as they want twins out at 38 weeks latest, an if we reach 34-36 weeks, we will be very happy. As long as I can keep them safe inside me for the March, I am happy!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Banana gives me heartburn (!), although I do have sometimes. Tonic water helps, i think, but doesn't stop them completely.
Pram has arrived. Have no energy to open all the boxes and check that all the bits are there, will wait for OH. The delivery man knows me by now, so he carries all the parcels inside for me as well. Now I have 4 boxes in my hallway waiting to be opened up!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Has your wife tried tonic water?
Only with gin...
PS when I hear howling at 2am when DW is in pain with cramp, I run in, throw the band at her, yank her out of bed, help her bend each leg 5 times, and then she's fine, and gets back into bed. Or trots to the loo first.
It's hardly energetic, but she loves it, natural, quick, and cheaper than raiding the supermarket's supply of tonic water...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
Im adding curry to the list of things that dont work to get the baby out
Why have none of the boldies popped :S
Well I had the midwife on Weds - different one to normal - and was telling her about my blocks of contractions that get to quite close together then disappear :@ and appparently its a textbook case with first babiesbut then said if its truely text book 1st time mums will normally go by themselves within 7days of the due date? I think the midwifes keep lying to me
I signed up to a bf class and that got cancelled as I was the only one booked on it too who ever said that - sorry cant remember who.
I have my induction booked in so I know the longest time I have to wait.
Just getting fed up with thinking Im in labour and then it !!!!!!ing off :S I actually dont know how Ill know im in real labour :S
Heartburn - strawberry gaviscon chewables are the best Ive foundLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0
