Yeah savoury is supposed to mean a boy. I suppose at the start I went off choc completely so was right for me.

The Bicarb/Baking Soda wasn't though, it fizzed for me, and apparently I'm having a boy.

Suppose it's all a lot of rubbish heard the other day if you crave healthy things in the first tri, it indicates a girl? Hmm.

I do believe the theory about when you DTD though and sex, as it seems to be true for a lot of people I know.

Hey everyone, hope you're all well

Congrats to anyone who's given birth recently, cute baby pics too

Just a quick update to say still nothing happening here. Had the midwife today who attemped a sweep but apparently my cervix is posterior so she couldn't do it I have an induction booked for Monday which seems like a loooooooonnnnnngggg time from now, especially as I can hardly sleep. I'm so uncomfortable I really hope my little one turns up soon so I can avoid the induction.

I'm mostly into savoury, not had much chocolate at all, but I have had a bunch more chewy sweeties. I bought a premixed bottle of margarita mix, ready for that special day in the future when I can have my craving! I still don't know what I'm having, but I've not been able to buy anything pink, it makes me heave when I look at them, maybe that's a sign?. It's been a struggle to buy yellow as well. I just prefer the blue stuff, so I figure I will get a dress for special when we take it out. My sister is bound to go nuts and buy loads of dresses, but I'm more than happy with the second hand boy stuff I got for free and the Disney baby grows I got from asda an tescos. DH wants a little princess though.

I think they say if it is a lower heartbeat it's a boy.

Almost all jobs are blue jobs at the moment, but we normally share a lot of the chores, we work on the same room at the same time. DH doesn't do it without prompting or direction, or me describing exactly what needs doing, but you cannot win them all.

I'm going to go back to bed and watch the rest of my birth wise DVD before it is too late, I've just got the baby whisper book from Amazons today too, I bought a bunch of second hand baby guides to be more MSE, so hopefully they will be in good condition. I'm determined to really have a better financial year this year, after last year.

Ok, reading ur posts have made me realise that Dh does actually do more than i give him credit for! Cat litter, bins, wiping the windows every week ( we have a terrible mould problem in this house ) DIY and loft stuff (very rarely tho!) I cut the grass and hedges in the summer as he is too anal about it and drives me nuts! I also clean the car as he doesnt drive so technically its my car!
Re savoury food....i couldnt get enough of pickled onion monster munch at the start of this pregnancy! Had a convo with someone on the less than 12 week thread at the time about it as i`d read it made a boy haha! I also DID crave healthy stuff with the girls, couldnt get enough of oranges and apples!
Rebekah, i have PGP (also known as SPD) I had physio on Friday, and she gave me a tubbee grip to wear around my hips and bump in the day time. Tbh, i wore it saturday and yesterday, it didnt do alot Ask ur midwife to refer u to the physio, or ur dr. Its silly things like keeping ur knees together when rolling over in bed and getting in and out of the car, dont push a shopping trolley, and a few other things. She gave me a website to look at, i`ll have a look and post the link in a bit for u and anyone else that wants it! x

Right, any jobs in the house used to be my jobs (ok, occasionally I manage to get him to do something to help me). Diy - my task as well. And I used to enjoy it!!!!! I basically re-decorated the rooms, he only helped to put the flooring down, but even that was mainly my effort. Washing up, clothes washing, hoovering, etc is not appreciated here, and we do occasionally run out of plates , but that is what the dishwasher is for. Just - my OH doesn't like using it, so won't put the dishes in! He now is doing the cat litter, as I shouldn't do it. And now, our house is a tip, as OH manages one thing - to switch - on PS3 most evenings, instead of tidying things up, and I am just so tired to do anything!

As for sweet tooth = girl, savoury = boy.... A have been off chocolate ever since getting pregnant. But - I will have a slice of cake (not the chocolate one!), or a croissant... I love savoury stuff, but no weird combinations so far. I have a huge love for watermelons as well... Well, the scan is tomorrow morning, so will see what we find out.

I think it's to do with male sperm being faster swimmers than female ones, which are slower but last longer. I think that's the right way round.

It doesn't help me though because we DTD the day before, the day of and the day after ov I don't care anyway. I used to think I'd like a little girl because we have all nephews but now I'd be happy with a forever baby of either flavour
