Haha snoopy. So are you still able to go for induction rather than a section? XDS1 born June 2000

Ok, I missed a few days again... Noticed some new arrivals - congratulations!
So, my first day off, and OH is not well this morning. He was sick this morning with terrible headache, so stayed home, feeling guilty for not going to work as he returned only last nigh from a work trip and sorry for himself. He has been sleeping since about 8.30 am now.
Instead, I went to the garden and painted three fence panels. It is rather sunny here, and sun wa on my back, was starting to get a bit tired and dizzy, so had a shower and will go now to get some lunch. As he is not well, it is going to be just plain pasta with a tiny bit of butter and Parmesan. Need to go collect parcel later on as well.
Our pram should have been dispatched yesterday, but just called the shop this morning and they are going to do this today, so instead of receiving it today or tomorrow it is now going to be tomorrow or Monday. And my changing unit/dresser is arriving in Tuesday.
Ok, I better go and get some food. Will catch up later!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
yup, as it stands at the mo, I willget a dat on Monday for the induction, consultant knows how I feel about the c-section, so is happy to help get me there naturally. He has been a real star to be honest.
It all seems so real now though, but still very very exciting.
DH has been reading up on inductions, and other peoples experiences, had to tell him to shut it in the end last night lol x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
God I am bored today - can't be bothered, have done some ironing though, even ironed a pair or 3/4 trousers from last summer that are so hard to iron and have been in bottom of pile for almost a year hahahaha.
Shower time then a walk to the post office to post some more stuff i sold on ebay.
Anyone heard from lovecrafting?!? hope she is ok.
snoopy - i had an induction with DS and it didn't do anything. Had to have the drip, pessaries etc and was awful, not wanting to scare you. I am due today, booked in for a sweep on Tuesday if nothing happens by Tuesday.0 -
Hi Gin. Glad you are doing well and I hope your OH gets over his bug soon. Pleased to see you will soon have your changing unit, I remember the battle you had with your OH to get it!
Snoopy - that's good you have a good consultant. Mine is fab too but I get annoyed when I see one of the registrars or house officers cos they don't all say the same thing. Tell your husband to stop reading you all these stories. I always feel that people are a lot keener to write bad stories rather than the good ones. I've never been induced myself but as it's pretty much out of your hands then you just go to go with it.DS1 born June 2000

No I haven't seen lovecrafting anywhere. I'm sure she will be ok, maybe just busy with the kids. Sorry you are bored Flutterby. Did your DS get off to nursery ok?DS1 born June 2000

So, I had a bit of a scare yesterday.
Had my 34 week appointment with the midwife and everything was ok so left the hospital. Got all the way home (live about an hour and a half away from the hospital by public transport) only to notice a tiny bit of blood when I wiped . Sorry if TMI.
Anyway, I felt both babies kick soon after so I wasn't too worried and just thought it was one of those things. I told OH and he absolutely freaked, had a right go at me and says as i'm not a doctor, i'm not qualified to tell myself that I'm ok. So, to keep the peace, I called the labour ward who wanted me to come back to the hospital as i've not had any bleeding whatsoever throughout the pregnancy and they would rather be safe.
So had to trek all the way back to the hospital during rush hour where I had to wait ages to be seen. Saw a midwife who put a trace on the babies for about 20 mins and I had to click a button everytime I felt them move. I then had to go to the delivery ward (first time there, very surreal) to see a consultant just to verify I'm ok. They did a scan and I got to see the babies again which was really good. Baby 1 is very low down hence why my pelvic pain has increased. They also did that speculum check (which I hate and find incredibly uncomfortable) and told me everything was fine.
Anyway, I'm a great believer in listening to your body and knew I was fine so I was quite relaxed, but I guess its better to be on the safe side.0 -

Apart from having a minor wobble, allis good, I have actually had 3 good nights sleep YAY!!!!!! Feel so much better now!
Oh and happy, I cannot help being awkward, I am an attention seeker and like to be in the limelight, so it was always the case that it would be all ME, ME, ME!!!!
Happy last day at work Lisa - enjoy!
I feel like I need to do something today, but not sure what!! x x
Snoopy, your expected delivery date has now been pushed back a couple of times, am I not mistaken? Maybe things are going well enough to be pushed back for another few days or a week, thus pushing you further down the list.
Or maybe no further changes will be made and you'll give birth on Easter Monday (would they even force things on a bank holiday)? Not that I'm biased, but if your date above is the actual date, then it'll turn out to be the best day of the year to be born!!:T
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
Dashikii, glad all is well, i agree, better to be safe than sorry and worry.
Happy yeah he went fine, thanksas it is easter he is off the childminders for next 2 weeks but at nursery 2 days a week as i still have to pay even if he is off, it will keep him entertained too, so thought he'd be better going. He will be fine I know he will now he is there and enjoying the sunshine with his friends.
Shower done, next task is to dry my very thick hair then go to post office. I will get off the ipad, i will get off the ipad, i will get off the ipad, i will get off the ipad........... going......going........0
