:Flutterby that is so rubbish about your job
It would be stressing me out no end too. Is there any way you can appeal and really go into details about your reasons for requesting it? Do you work for a big organisation? Any chance you could change department?
I've got my physio appointment thru at last :j Not for another couple of weeks but at least its definately going to happen. And it can't come soon enough...it feels like my pelvis/lady area is going to split in two
xx
Glad you got your appointment through, light at the end of the tunnel and all that hey?
I work in a school for the council doing the finance/budgeting. It is the head who has decided that as I was taken on full time and she likes the continuity of the same person working everyday that this is now what she wants. I rang this aft and asked if there is anyway I can do 4 days, which is what was originally agreed, then I asked again to do 3 days and it was agreed. I can't change departments either, but suppose i could look for part time jobs within the council OH is looking at me not going back at all but i really dont want this and would love to do just 3 days, a happy medium.snoopytweety wrote: »Hi everyone,
Congrats Lola, beautiful name - but I would say that as it is what we have picked lol.
Hospital went well this morning, scan showed that at 36 weeks baby is measuring 6lb 1oz, so growth slowed down a little, but she is still a bit big.
No firm date booked in, but they want to see me next Monday to get a date booked in for induction within week 38, so baby will be here sometime between 2nd and 15th April I hope!
So good that growth has slowed down, and good that we will soon get to meet her. Was hoping for a firm answer this week but I suppose this will have to do!
Everyone else ok? x x x
Glad all went well today snoopy, good news.happydays77 wrote: »What pudding did you have snoopy? I demand to know
Yeah i love puddings and want to know if your choice would be mine.
I love apple crumble and custard or something like cheesecake.
At the wedding on friday it was sticky toffee pudding, would never have chosen this but it was DEVINE!!0 -
happydays77 wrote: »That sounds delicious. I had some sausage butties before and they were lush. And I 'might' have some cake later.
I bet there is no might about it, I bet you do!!! lol0 -
My favourite pudding would be cherry crumble and custard. Or I love the hot cookie dough from Pizza Hut with ice-cream.DS1 born June 2000

*drool* at snoopy's bakewell tart - I love that!
((hugs)) flutterby re your job, that is really really rubbishHow long do you have to go back to work to not have to pay back your contractual maternity pay? (for me it's 3 months) Just thinking that if you do decide to quit, might be worth going back for that period, just so you don't have to pay any money back. Even better if you've got some accrued annual leave that you can use within that time...
Congratulations Lola! :j Lovely news, I bet she's gorgeous!
Saw the midwife this avo, went well. Apparently I'm in perfect health, yay me! :A Wee fine, BP excellent (104/60), weight fine, bump measurement fine, and baby's HB sounding good. Only slight concern is that s/he is breech (which I had guessed as I keep being kicked in the foof!) However, there's still plenty of time for baby to turn yet, so I won't worry. Midwife guesses that it's a girl, on the basis of baby's heart rate and bump shape/size, but caveated her guess strongly!
Next appointment is in 3 weeks and she's going to come to my house, as her clinic is too full. Good service!
RE boobs - mine are mahoosive but always have been. 30G before pregnancy, 36GG nowAnd I'm only 5'1"! The size of my bump now balances me out a bit though, so I don't look QUITE as booby as before! My nipples too are big, actually my boobs look pretty gross as I'm really pale so you can see all the veins  I hope they shrink a bit after BF-ing, but I have a feeling they'll just be saggy and horrible...
Working from home tomorrow then day off on wednesday, yay! :j Work is really stressful at the moment so it's nice to not be in the office too much.
Loving the fact that it's not getting dark yet!

Yay :j Excellent news BB :j
And yes my lovely, you do indeed sound very booby!
Flutterby, didn't realise it was a schoolBet the term time suits as well doesn't it? Hmmm. Looking at other jobs within your LA might your best bet then, although as BB has pointed out, check that any change wouldn't affect your maternity pay and having to pay it back. Really hope something gets sorted for you x

I'm a boldie today, how did that happen?
Thought something was starting last night, was sat on my recliner having terrible lower stomach cramps (like mild period pain) and thought "wayhey its starting" but no I got up and PPPPPAAAAARRRPPP!!! it was just wind lol. Lets hope the little guy decides its time to end his tenancy soon as I'm just about ready to cut him out myself. MW on Wednesday to discuss a sweep, she offered to do one on wednesday but I wanted to see how things progress first. Its +10 max here so I'll definately be having mummy cuddles by the 5th (ooh thats still really scarey to think).:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -
Thanks for the birthday wishes, had a lovely deli dinner out in the sun tonight0
