Can not believe some people! Guy comes into the shop where I work and announces to my colleague that he's got chicken pox and I served him yesterday!!!

Just hope I don't catch it as I don't know what would happen if i do, so fingers crossed!

Anyway, my GTT blood tests came back and the midwife said they couldn't be more normal, so that's one less thing to worry about and she said I'm an ideal candidate for the midwife led birthing unit at the hospital which i'm really pleased about :D. Haven't got to see her for another 5 weeks which is nice because I'll be on Maternity leave then :)

Fingers crossed that you don't catch it choclover. Is there a blood test they can do to check immunity? The morning I got my BFP I taught in an infant school (supply teacher) and there were active cases of slapped cheek in the class (no-one told me until all the children had gone home). I asked what it was as someone happened to mention it, and asked if it was risk to pregnant women - I had to have a blood test at the hospital the next day, and luckily I was already immune, but the school hadn't thought to tell mere supply staff that they had it as we're not there all the time. I was fuming.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I don't know, I'll have to phone the midwife tomorrow to see what she says.

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to emsbet and your DH. I hope you've had a lovely time together. What did he give you for your present? I'm struggling to think of a present for Moon - it's not long until our first anniversary either, and I know the first one is paper - was thinking of getting him tickets to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and he go with my Dad and do a last bit of male bonding before he becomes a Dad himself. Will have to investigate the dates though.!

Thanks. Tickets sound like a good idea. DH got me a framed, mock up of a newspaper front page with a story about us on and a picture from our wedding day.

Oh no! Finger crossed you don't catch it. I saw a lady pushing a kid around primark the other day who had what looked like measles! Why would you take your child out shopping if he had a contagious disease?! Even if he wasn't contagious anymore I think he probably should have been indoors not traipsing round Manchester so his mum could buy herself a new outfit.

We had a lovely day yesterday. Our meal last night was a bit of a disappointment though as we were left about half hour before been seated then the food was not as nice as we were expecting, the waiters never came over and we had to ask for a desert menu. I asked for my chocolate fudge cake with cream instead of ice cream and the brought it to the table with both on it. So we only tipped about £1.20 which was our change that we couldn't be bothered waiting for! Still I got to spend the whole day with DH so I don't care that much :)

My hips were so sore last night and I struggled to get out of bed this morning :( I may have to try a different pillow. I tried positioning a cushion under my leg to take the pressure off my hip. That worked until I kept rolling off it!

Oh well last day in the office today!

    Have a nice day all.

    xx

Glad you had a nice day Emsbet but sorry the meal was dissapponting. You sound like a glass half full girl as opposed to glass half empty so at least that didn't stress you out and the fact you spent the day with your OH was the highlight.
Happy last day in the office aswell. Bet you will feel strange when you leave tonight but then by 7pm you will be fine.
Now I'm a bit worried about your pillow obsession. I think you will just have to keep trying different methods until you find something that works for you.

As for me, well I had an awful night with hips aswell. Everytine I woke up for a wee, about 7 times, I really struggled to put one leg infront of the other. Then I stubbed my toe on my chest of drawers. The cursing wasn't pretty!!

And Emsbet, can you please sort the list out as I appear to be 13th and I'm sure that's wrong. See what you can do eh!!!

    Have a nice day everyone

morning all. i have no idea why i am up and about, no one else is awake but i got up for the loo at half five and couldnt get back off to sleep so ended up comming downstairs, hubby just came down and asked what i was doing up, so i told him he has gone back to bed now. looks like its going to be another nice day, i need to pay the phone bill today before i get cut off. i have been putting it off all last week just in case we actually got some money off tax credits but it needs done today.

34 weeks today. i am so ready to have this baby now. my body isnt liking this pregnancy lark at all, altho i really do need to make sure i am better prepared for her arrival, her bedding is in the wash so i can put up the cot once thats washed and dried then put the moses basket in there. then theres the hospital bag, i really should get on that and then wash all the bits of clothes we have picked up, they were freshly washed before we got them but there sat in the airing cupboard waiting to be sorted out so its about time i got that sorted, maybee im not as ready as i think.

I'm watching some trash on tv and DS has just left for school.
I keep looking at my baby stuff an it is still all in bags begging to be put away. I've been so superstitious that I haven't wanted to get anything organised but suppose maybe I should. I just don't know where to start.

    Hi happy
I think you should be ok to start putting stuff away now especially as you are a moving on up that there list.
Maybe one bag of clothes away = 1 chocolate treat :-)
