    Morning all!

I introduced myself on the 12-24 weeks thread yesterday, but it seems to be very quiet on there. I had my dating scan yesterday, and I'm officially 13wks+2 today. This is our first baby, and we're getting quite excited about it now. Baby is due 23rd September.

I'm off to the doctor's this afternoon as have been suffering from constant heartburn and it's getting me down. Hope he is able to prescribe something that I don't have to drink or chew, as the ones I've tried over the counter make me feel sick on top of it.

I agree, if in any doubt at all go and get checked over hun.

also i know your panicking about having an early baby, and nothing can prepare you for if it happens, but honestly they wont take baby out if they think it isnt the best place for her. (did i read its a girl) if they did decide the best thing to do is deliver, medicine is so much more advanced now than it was years ago, they know what there doing hun, honestly try not to worry.x

welcome to the thread sexymouse. the time will fly by once you get past the 14 week stage.

the gp might prescribe something called renitadine (sp?) its in tablet form and works wonders.

    Welcome sexymouse.

Ladies, while I remember as I've been meaning to ask this for ages! those of you who are far enough on to have considered it (and those who've had babies before) are you going for the vitamin K injection for baby when its born? What are your reasons for doing or not doing so?

    Thanks.

my babies didnt have it because they were partially formula fed and in infant milk there is a higher level of vitamin k than there is in breastmilk, vitamin k deficiency only occurs in about 1 in 10,000 babies and they are at more risk if they are breastfed. here is a link to help you make the choice hun.

Thanks for the welcome ladies. Do I need to tell anyone anything to be on a due date list or anything?

So still very sore and despite the advice not to be pushing things like shopping trollies and vacuums around with SPD... I've now been waiting over a week for hubby to do the hoovering he promised - so I'm going to HAVE to do it! Washing for hospital bag is on the line drying, with the list of bits and bobs still to buy written... dentist appointment I had for later in the week I've cancelled because I'm trying to minimise the walking I do this week to give my pelvis a bit of a rest - but I think the escalation in pain coincided with a big growth spurt looking at the fact everything's suddenly got tighter and the stretch mark's multplied into a few more of 'em - so I'm pretty much stuck with the pain in that case... annoyingly I SHOULD have the midwife next week again to discuss the way the pain's really grinding me down then (very very fed up and restricted because of it and moving around is utter agony now) - but because our GP surgery mucked up the appointments it's going to be two weeks till I see her.

Did go out for a nice meal last night - wedding anniversary today, but I'm tutoring till 7.30pm so we went out last night instead - just to the little local italian but they always do awesome food. Tonight we'll probably have a takeaway as well to have an easier evening - I have a ridiculous craving for flame grilled stuff of late... burgers, steaks - the lot!
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

Thanks for adding me to the list lovecrafting.

Happy Anniversary dizziblonde - hope your SPD improves and you get to see the midwife soon - one of my friends had SPD, so I know how debilitating it can be - take it easy though.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
