£1150 is double the rent here. I pay £650 for a 3 bed detached house with gas, electric and water included. Most other houses are £500 for 3 beds and £600 for a 4bed.
I think it's crazy how expensive rentals in London are.0 -
We could never afford to buy a house in this country, there's no way I could save £30000 whilst still paying rent etc. So we're stuck renting, which is a shame, coz its so damn expensive!!
TBH I would never have been able to afford a mortgage but DH already owned the house when we met. He has a job that is a lot better paid than mine (three times better) but even he had to have a helping hand from his parents and that was 6/7 years ago.

It is quite confusing with Hauck as they have so many different systems so I was never quite sure which one this actually was, but if you google just Hauck you will see that is probably costing more just to have Winnie the Pooh (unless this is what you want of course).
From what I can remember even at this sale price it is still £40 - £50 more than the "plain" ones. But like I say they have so many different systems, shopper, traveller, 6/7 etc that I am not sure which one exactly this is.
But if you did end up leaving it I suppose what I am saying is that you could find a similar Hauck pram for this price or less at normal online prices. Sorry I don't have any links but if you go to google and shopping they were around £140 I think.
Thanks for this. It's a Hauck Shopper and you are right - just getting a plain one in red is £140 so I will have to consider whether it's worth paying £40 to look at winnie the pooh all day!Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

Mozzy - I definatly feel better after a visit to the bathroom, I think the baby just likes the bigger room.
Emmy - I use the iPhone 4S, which is pricey, but worth it for me as I use it as a browser, Iplayer for TV and ipod, aswell as a phone.
DTD - I've been desperate for it all the way through, but the consultant put it on the "no" list, which I've stuck to very strictly. Restrictions were lifted for about 5 days, but reapplied after a bleed, so resolve has been firm until yesterday. I'm tempted to try again tonight...
More babies, while I've tried on and for to stay pregnant for the last 8 years or so, I don't plan on trying for another. This was always going to be a one shot for me, Ive not had the best pregnancy but I wasn't expecting it to be easy, so I will be glad when it is over. I've always wanted to adopt or foster, DH is happy enough with that. Now we have settled in the UK that should become achievable in the next couple of years.
Gilly, I've got to wash the 0-3 baby clothes and get to mothercare tomorrow to buy a new crib mattress, will make DH Hoover bedroom tomorrow and the start taking baby stuff out of boxes and putting them in there spots ready. So nearly ready ;/
I want the baby to come on Monday, so it can be a Chinese dragon like me, my dad, my aunties and I think both of my paternal grandpartents were (weird eh?):ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Hello all. We are back home after a day going around. The TAMBA course was good, it was run by a mum of twins, her girls are 5. I think we finally agreed that we will need to get some help in the house as once twins are here, we will have no time to do anything. I suggested that once his parents come, we could give them the task of cooking the meals. As I would prefer to sit down with the babies instead of running around and sorting out stuff in the house and taking care of visitors!
We tried to find a baby shop in Queensferry, but drove around for 40 min and couldn't find it! Tried calling the number n the website, but they didn't answer. They tried calling us back later, but we were already on the way out in the motorway. Instead we went to the shop in Warrington, tested out Buggaboo Donkey. It is the first side by side that I would consider... But it costs a fortune!!!
And then we went to Manchester to see Omid Djalili. OH likes him, and he enjoyed it. I preferred the warm up guy, if I am honest. The seats were very uncomfortable, and I was aching, but we had a good time in the end.
I have anterior placenta, and I only feel babies occasionally. We have next scan on Tuesday, hope to see them then!
As for DTD, I am never in much mood for it, and now it is simply non-existent. No energy for anything!
Oh well, I think it is time to sleep. Good night!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I have a high anterior placenta, I felt movements from 15 weeks, DH felt them around 20 weeks, but I think that was because up until 34 weeks my baby was cephelic and back to back. I had reduced feelings when it went breech for 2 weeks, but now it's the right way around and back to front, so movements have been a bit more subtle, but movements can still be visually seen. I have a high BMI so I didn't expect to feel or see this much.
