D'ya know, me and OH were talking about this last night. A girl in his work had said "I don't understand why anyone would put themselves through pregnancy"
I don't know why anyone would take the words of others on the subject, some people have good pregnancys, other people have crap ones. My experience of pregnancy hasn't put me off, it's not nice, I'm not "blooming" like some people seem to bebut I've not been ill or anything and it's only 9 months of my life for something so precious. I can understand why it puts some people off though, especially if they've had bad pregnancys, but I can't understand someone who hasn't been through it at all to say they never would want to
Does it go back in if it pops out? Or do you have an outty forever?
Aw that's good news about Toniqxx
Snoopy, i`m not even worried about a cot yet tbh! I know realistically baby wont be in it for a good 10-12 weeks anyway! I didnt purchase one until DD2 was literally filling her moses basket, I did have it up with DD3 from 10 weeks of pregnancy, but that was purely as it was coming up for xmas, and i needed somewhere to put all the presents haha! I`m also hoping to find a good deal on a new one between now and then
Well, i put my shower curtain under the sheet on the bed yesterday haha! Thought i`d best do it as waters went in bed last time, i was soaked from bum to toe lol. Is anyone else worried about being outside and their waters going??? It petrifies me to the point i`m tempted to keep some clean clothes in the carxx
Oh, forgot to say, it rained on the morning of my wedding haha! xx
I have too much OCD for this pregnancy lark really lol. I know logically the cot doesn't need to be up, but it makes me stressed to think it isn't in my house - not even been delivered, am only 27 weeks and my brain is telling me it should be lol
Can't believe it rained! xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
Well tbh i dont know of many people that have had waters go as first sign, but 20% is a good enough chance for me to worry! All 3 of my labours have started differently, DD1, they went at 3am, just trickled tho, god knows how it woke me up and i knew what it was! Contractions started 3 hours later. DD2, contractions started, waters went 4 hours later in the car on the way to hosp. DD3, waters went and contrations started after an internal at hosp which was an hour after they`d gone. So i wanna be prepared for all eventualities!
Snoopty, this is my first pregnancy where i`ve had spots, and they have been really bad! Do u know what sex ur having??!! xx ( sorry just seen ur having a girl, be cool to see if u get spots if u ever have a boy!) xMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Would it be weird to say I really want to have that "oh my god, my waters have broken" moment? lol
My spots are awful, and I am having a girl! To be fair, I am 31, and have always suffered with spots, was hoping that they would go when I reached my twenties, but oh no! Just got a little worse with this pregnancy! xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
Gilly, I was told that it was unlikely for waters to break before contractions and that it was even more unlikely when standing. I was outside the CO-OP with my sister when I went splat. Less than 10 minutes later my contractions started and within 20 minutes of my waters breaking I was 4cm
It didn't cause me any stress or embarrassment so I wouldn't worry about it. - I used a bath towel in the car and had one on the bed just incase.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

:rotfl:haha, no i think its better to say ur waters have gone rather than a contraction!!! At least u know once ur waters have gone the hosp wont leave u more than 24 hours before giving u a helping hand anyway! Altho i will say TMI alert....when my waters burst with DD3, when i stood up, they was a long brown stringy thing hanging out of me    It was about 10 inches long, when (curiosity got the better of me
) i gently pulled on it, i could feel it pulling from the inside.....Q me panicking and rishing to hosp!! Turns out it was the membranes and midwife just yanked it out :rotfl: It was uncomfortable! I thought it was the umbilical cord or something at first! I`ve heard horror stories of waters bursting and the sheer force of it pushes the cord out and then the babys head crushes it
so thats why i was so scared.
Anyways, i`m rambling againxx

Emmy & Kitten - My mum's waters went with me, so not sure how much I believe that statistic. It's scary to think it can happen so quick for some people then for others it's hours and hours and hours!
Just had a gorgeous shower, I love standing there in almost boiling water, my skin is all red now though and I feel light headedGoing to give perineal massage a go again, not sure how to try and position myself to do it, I just can't reach
God.
