Just a little question if anyone can help me. What do Braxton hicks actually feel like? My stomach has been getting hard now for about 3 hours about every ten minutes. It just feels like the whole bottom band of my belly is tightening. Is that right?DS1 born June 2000

He was born back to back. Labour was 18 hours. She had to be cut and suffered a 3rd degree split as well but she is coping well considering the discomfort. Baby has no name yet but has jaundice and may need phototherapy.0 -

Sounds like mine too, I would go with the BH self diagnosis too.
Also, a yum yum is a straight donut with a sugar glace, mine had apple in the middle too. Didn't last long I can assure youWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -

MW had said at 38+1 that she would attempt a sweep tomorrow so hoping that might kick things off. I know it probably sounds really weird but I've not had to have an internal all the way through this pregnancy, I've had smears before and it's fine i just feel like this will kinda change my relationship with the MW if she has to put her hand up therehubby thinks i'm mad and it probably doesn't make much sense but never mind.
Labour vibes to all that need them, and of course those that want them too
Meh, my MW said she would only consider a sweep from 41 weeks onwards. I really had to push for one this coming Friday (assuming nothing kicks off in the meantime) as I will "only" be 40+6 :mad:Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
I have no intention of queue jumping at all. Just felt really odd today like I was hooked up to one of those exercise machines that electrocute you!!!DS1 born June 2000

Have managed to get hold of my doctor eventually, and get a prescription for the new tablets which is reassuring. DH spent yesterday cleaning the house so I wouldn't be tempted to - he's told me my only job is to grow our baby, and he'll be mad if he catches me pushing myself rather than relaxing and keeping the bp down. I feel very lucky to have him at the moment.
12 hours of sleep in one night!!!!!!! And you OH sounds so lovely! Wish mine did some cleaning, was hoping for a little surprise when I came hope yesterday, but no, nothing. Maybe one day?Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can order some maternity pjs online? I need some nice ones for my hospital bag, but don't want to be paying £40, under £20 is more what I had in mind. I got some stretchy waist non-maternity ones in a 14 in the sales (I was a 10 pre-pg) but they're just starting to get uncomfy now.
I am looking forward to answer for this, as I would love something nice too. I bought the Next maternity PJs is sale, supposedly, but they are just like normal PJs, they go right through the middle of the bump, and the top is just as normal top, nothing more than just probably size 18 marked as 14!Hi everyone. I know I don't post much on here but I thought i'd let you know that my daughter had her 8lb 8oz baby boy at 00.05 saturday morning
Congratulations! Hope all goes well and he will be better soon.
We had power cut, and then no phone or internet. The internet is back, the phone is still dead. So, did some work (!!!!), then got microwave delivered, so sorted the space for that in the kitchen, also the blender I wanted and Amazon cancelled on me I have found in Argos discounted to £55, found in one shop in stock near OH's work, so he has been and picked it up now. He is having a walk on the promenade now and then will head home. We had nothing planned for dinner, so I said he can get something on the way to test the blender or microwave!
Also did second washing of baby clothes, and hanged all out. I washed my muslin cloths, I had 12 from Tesco and 6 from Waitrose/John Lewis, and you can see the difference between - the John Lewis are much sturdier/thicker. Might have some more, I think I may need few more. I picked up 4 burping clothes in the nearly new sale on Saturday, the bag was marked as muslin clothes, and they were 50p. I was looking to get some at Mothercare, so I am happy to get at least a few for pennies.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

They are quite an odd feeling aren't they?!!
Sometimes they take my breath away!! Also feel like something is trying to escape out of me "down there" alot of the time, I swear my waters are going to explode as it is a sharp pushing type pain!! Ahh the joys!! Xx
Icey - I have seen the sugar coated yum yums before but not the apple filled ones you speak of!! They sound lovely, I'm really into apple turnovers so I'm thinking I will enjoy apple filled yum yums too!! Xx:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

I agree Sammie. I used to be just paranoid about a bit of wee leakage but now it's arms, legs and heads I'm concerned about!!!DS1 born June 2000
